When are you returning back to work?

I am trying to get an idea of when people are returning to work.

I have no idea, I guess when Our $$ runs out or I find a job!!!!!

When I was preggo, I planned on going back at 6 weeks pp.

Then I got fired when I was 38 weeks. I have been getting unemployment, but I got a job today and will be going back next week. DS will be exactly 5 months old

But my Dh will be home with all day (works nights) so I guess it will be ok

I'm due in 9 days and I plan on returning in early Jan give or take a week.

I will be a work at home mom. As soon as I feel well enough to work I will be back at my computer at least part time.

I'm taking 6 months. One month before and 5 months after she is born.

I am taking 6 weeks paid and then I am going on a leave of absence for at least a year. I am a NYC public school teacher and I can take up to 4 years leave of absence. I am actually able to substitute teach up to 4 days a week when I am on leave. I am not sure I will do this, but it is an option. So I am going to take one day at a time. I guess right now I can call myself a stay at home mom. Well, first I need to deliver my baby before I get the official title.

They are giving me 10 weeks paid and I'm taking 2 weeks vacation = 12 weeks.

My job asked me in June (around raise time) if i was coming back.. i said yeah but not F/T no one to watch DD, dont really care for day care. I was hoping to go back after new years, but i went out earlier than i expected. I have the 6 weeks maternity (8 if turns out c-sect) and my 3 weeks vacation time still. I figure if they say anything ill go back one day a week early, DH off on mondays.

I am hoping to take at least 6 months, but maybe a little more.

I haven't worked this out yet at all. I'm definitely out as long as my vacation pay gives me. Beyond that - I have no idea.

I am due in April and won't be going back till September.

I'm quitting my job in the city about a month before the baby is due. 6 months or so after the baby is born, I'm going to try and get a job on LI.

Whatever 4.5 mos is - due Feb 19, returning July 1.

I'm going to take at least 12 weeks...and then go back to work 3 days a week for up to a year, if we can financially. After the year I have to go back full time.

I'm planning to spend the first year or so with out baby, then back to work. I won't have pay that whole time needless to say, but I'm fortunate in that I can take off up to 4 years and still have a job.
