I've just skimmed this article...but its so true!
I am reallly struggling with this work thing, I have now been back for 2 months (with 2 weeks off for being sick) and I am really struggling with the work end of it. I am really enjoying the social end of working, but I haven't really done any work yet!!! I left a team of 4, where I was the one who everyone relied on, I was the one who knew everything about all my projects and I have come back to a team of 21 and although I am their manager, I barely know what they are doing!! I am trying my hardest to get back into the swing of things, but just finding it really difficult!!! There isn't really anyone helping me to get immersed in the projects, there isn't anyone giving me things to do...so I am off for holiday in 2 weeks to Florida, so after that I hope I can really dig my teeth into it! All my colleagues and my boss tell me that I have to give it more time...but isn't two months enough time???
Anyway...I liked that article, I am glad that I have a boss...well 3 or 4...
