What's your plan?

So what's your plan?

1. Do you have a date in mind that you are just going to say Eff it and out the door you go and take your chances?

2. You will wait and see what the doctor's, scientists say and weigh up your odds with their advice?

3. Stay home until 2022?

4. You have already left the building?

Re: What's your plan?

the problem is - there is nowhere to go.

So even if I said eff it- I'd be limited to Target and the supermarket.

I would LOVE to just go to my office- even for a day or 2 a week. But it's locked up

If things were open though- I'd be there.

Re: What's your plan?

#2

They just opened a lot of stuff here. I’m going to wait two weeks and just do what I have been doing only because I can. If my situation were different, I might think otherwise.

I’ll wait two weeks because I see people have gotten more relaxed. I keep an eye on the numbers, etc.

I am going to go out to a beer garden (8 PM curfew) with my SO in two weeks, so I’m looking forward to that after two months of not seeing each other. I’m apprehensive and we will socially distance, but he has been in contact with so many people. I’ll give it a go. But he can’t come move back into my own germ enclave I have already.

I’ll just go at my own pace.

Same. Where would I go and all my friends are in the same page and when we feel safer we will get together even if just at home for food and drinks.
I am trying to listen to the rules and am getting annoyed with the amount of people being so lax and hope the numbers don’t go up because they can’t wait anymore. What happened to patience and doing what you are told to keep you, your family and others safe to end this?

#4 for me.
Yes it's true what Nell said that nothing is open - but I had been trying to limit my trips to the store to once a week for groceries only. Yesterday I went to Target and bought some non-essential items. Also, I am not initiating get togethers with anyone but if invited to someone's backyard, I would go. Yes I will wear a mask when within 6 feet but not otherwise.

I won't listen to the scientists and experts anymore because:

1. They lie.
2. They have been wrong about everything so far.
3. They lie.
4. They are not impartial. Follow the money.
5. They lie.
6. Different experts/scientists disagree WITH EACH OTHER so obviously none of them are credible.

The end.

Your #4 has me laughing.

There’s no where to go but I will be visiting my sister this weekend. In a week or two, I will probably let my hair stylist do my hair at my house.

I stuck it out, but I don’t trust Governor Murphy and I don’t seen no plan in sight. It all sounds like bull to me, I’m done.

I do only go to the store for groceries once a week. I do target drive up a lot and have done the liquor store drive up and have gone to chik fil a often.

i would say i would go to more place but nothing is open and honestly its a pain in the ass with having to put the mask on it annoying and not enjoyable to do so, so i dont really want to go.

But in a little bit I am planning on going inside target to return somethings and get mother day card and you know its target so i can see myself buying more than that Chat Icon

I plan on visting my parents this weekend. they both had it have anitbodies and I am done waiting to go ahead to see them. I dont get when the magic day will be that its ok I see them so i decided it on my own!!

Also come summer if camp is not open my kids will be spending some days during the week there so they are not stuck inside all day while I am working (from home, i always work from home before all this happened)

Target stopped taking returns for a while- so just check that they are back to taking them in store.
They said they will extend the return by dates of course.

I waffle between 1 and 2. I kinda want “authorization”.

I don’t really care about going shopping. But I want to know when it’s OK for people to get together in their homes. No one seems to mention that. Can we assume that when department stores open, then it’s ok? My mother and sisters and I keep going back and forth about getting together for Mother’s Day. Is it ok? Do we wait until Memorial Day?

#4 for me. I'm done. De Blasio banning protesting is just so unAmerican to me, that I won't do this another minute. Even Trump has reiterated that people should be allowed to protest and just asks that they follow the guidelines for safety.

I dont' think there is going to be a magic date that it's suddenly safe to be honest.
You have to look at the risk/reward to your family.
Anyone high risk?
Anyone work in healthcare and could be carrying it?
Things like that

I think because people don't think staying home will end this. The hospital numbers are down to 600 a day, from a high of 3,000. But Cuomo says that is obnoxiously high. What number is good enough for him? The fact is, NYC & LI will NEVER meet all 7 of those standards. So if we just sit there and do what we are told, we will be sitting there for a very, very long time.
Look, I followed the rules perfectly for 7 weeks. We don't go out, have get togethers, or go out in public without masks. We have only interacted with the 7 people who live in our home, got groceries delivered. Did every single thing I was supposed to. I cracked last weekend and met a friend for a walk. We stayed 6 feet apart and basically had the whole high school track to ourselves. I'm not having friends over to my house, I did not celebrate Easter with family, I don't even go to the freaking grocery store. I will not be made to feel like a piece of crap who disobeys authority & wants to kill all of Nassau County, because in 7 weeks I spent a couple of hours with a friend, and nobody else was anywhere near us.

from what I gather it is supposed to be phase 1 according to the plan the federal government put it. I only say that cause its not clear but it says their should be no gatherings of more than 10 people but again its not clear at all!!

Can your parents take my son?Chat Icon

He is an only child between my DH and I. Friday we picked up food from the restaurant where my stepson works (hes 22) and he was waving to him and yelling hi from a distant. My DS was so excited but it was so sad at the same time. My husband couldn’t believe he couldn’t hug his son. It broke my heart. So maybe I am at a Hard #4!!

He’s also so pale and pasty, I feel like he looks like the kids from “Flowers in the Attic”.Chat Icon

I am doing what I need to do to keep my mental sanity. I am an essential worker so I’m still working. Most of my work can be done remotely but I go to the office a few times a week to get out of the house. We are limited to 2 employees in the office at a time so we communicate with each other to arrange who will be there. Once a week my colleagues and I have a social distancing lunch. We set up portable lawn chairs in the parking lot, sit 6 feet apart, eat lunch, and chat. It’s the most normal I feel. I don’t like going to the store because it’s anxiety inducing wearing the masks and seeing everyone, so my husband does most grocery shopping. I had my parents over once in the backyard to have ice cream with the kids. We get take out once a week or so and I go pick it up to get out of the house. Beyond that there’s nothing to do....

The end.

Well, I'm going to take my kids to another state that has outdoor recreation open at one point. Such as kayaking, the rail rides in RI, etc. I'm not going to stick around here in a state where we can't even rent a kayak and be on the open water with ourselves. I guarantee he is keeping everything closed until the middle of June at least. So even if we want to go "rogue", we can't.

Yup..this. Follow the money all the way to the bank.

We've generally just been grocery shopping and running some errands. We did have to have some emergency work done to our house so we've had to buy some items for that plus a few Target/Walmart runs for some essential and non-essential items. I decided that Sunday for Mothers Day my sister and my mom are coming over for a BBQ....I noticed lately too a lot of my neighbors have extra cars in the driveway. I don't blame them AT ALL. I'm not trying to get on a subway and lick subway poles but we are definitely starting to relax our strict immediate family only quarantine. Also Sunday we went to TOBAY for a bit. There were a ton of people there including the town supervisor?? Joseph Saladino. The pure look of joy on my girls faces as they enjoyed the beach has me praying so hard that our beaches are open this summer. We are not meant to live a life of fear and solitude.
