Do you plan to give your infant/child the N1H1 vaccine? Do you plan on getting it?
I know I am going to get the normal flu vaccine at my office. Not sure if I want to give DS a flu shot or the N1H1 vaccine either.

No and I a don't want to give DD the regular flu shot, but I'm being forced to as it's mandated by my state if you have a child over 6 months old in daycare.

We all got the regular flu shot and we're all getting the H1N1 vaccine. I can't risk DD (3 weeks old) getting sick from the rest of us when DS goes to daycare, DH works in a peds ICU and I work with children. The poor girl has already battled her first cold at 2 weeks old and she rarely goes out of the house!

ye, we are traveling in December and my ped recommends it, I trust my ped and will go with his recommendation...I have yet to get the flu shot (for the first time) myself and woke up this morning feeling like azz...oyyyyy I hope I'm not actually getting sick

I will get the regular flu shot only. DD will not get any she is taken care of by my parents.
Swine flu vaccine in my mind hasn't been out long not to many studies on it and I just don't feel comfortable with it. Plus my Dr told me if you get a fever to go right to your Dr anyway and they will test and if it comes out positive they will put you on the medicine anyway for the swine.

No flu shots here and absolutely NOT on the H1N1. WAY too new in my opinion. Has not been tested enough, no idea what the long term effects are, what side effects there are, or if its going to be as damaging as the Swine Flu vaccine of 1976.
We used to get the regular flu shots, for the first 3 years we had children. ANd all 3 years, we all got the flu anyway.

No for Abby. No for us right now - possibly in the future for DH and myself. I am around children all day long who may not have great health care and use MY clothing as a Kleenex.
We are all getting regular flu shots. Abby's peds office does not have enough of the infant shots right now so we are on a waiting list.

My DD#1 (1 year old) will be getting the regular flu shot, and so will DH and I (I am pregnant with DD#2 and due Christmas Day.) No one in my family will be receiving the H1N1 shot.

Almost 100% I'm not getting it for DS.
As for me, I'm being forced to get it, which I'm not happy about. New York State is mandating all Health Care workers to get the vaccine by Nov 30th.

My DC already got the flu shot, and if my ped recommends it, will be getting H1N1 when it comes out. DH and I will be getting the seasonal flu shot this weekend. We are not in one of the "risk" groups for the H1N1 vaccine, so I'm not sure if we'll even be able to get it.
The H1N1 shot is not any "newer" than the seasonal flu shot each year. H1N1 is simply another strain of influenza, and had it appeared earlier, it would have been part of the seasonal flu shot. It is in no way similar to the swine flu vaccine of 1976.
