My FIL has done that. He has colitis so it was blamed on that.

My ILs have done so much to me I could write a book. The worst was blatently lying to DH about me. A close second was lying to me about something and involving my family in the lie, which started a huge thing in my family and they can barely look at her now at the kids events.

For mine, besides all the awful Jewish comments- the worst ahd to be this week-- my MIL sh$t on my floor-- literally AND she didn't even clean it up she just left it there.

My DH tried to take the blame so I didn't ask my MIL about it-- then we were at my SIL's house and she announced she had diarrehea.

Insert vomit icon.

OMG I can't believe your MIL did that!!! Did she wipe her azz afterwards, or maybe she did it on the floor due to your choice of toilet paper???...............

I do not have the same relationship with my in-laws as I do with my family. The two families are simply different. Nothing is perfect but that being said, I have too much respect for DH's and my privacy to air dirty laundry in a public forum. I have seen all too often people posting about lurkers and having things said here come up and bite them in the arse one too many times. That was not meant to sound preachy, but those are chances I prefer not to take in order to keep peace.

I'm not sure why I am asking, but unless the person in question is REALLY elderly and sick or a toddler, how can this be possible? I mean, are they not sitting on the toilet seat when this happens? or are they crapping in a random spot? I have seriously never heard of anything like this before!!

I cant say for Jaime's MIL, thats just wrong, but as for Cathy's FIL with the colitis, it really may not have been his fault. My father has colitis and when he gets a flair up its pretty bad. He needs to know where all bathrooms are at all times, he goes 6-10 times a day. Unfortunately, the urge, frequency and pain are too much for people and they may have accidents (knock wood only happend once to my dad and he was home sooo).

I think the part that's puzzling is that how does it make it to the floor? Do they pull their pants/underwear down? It's a sad situation but I'm just trying to figure out how there's time to pull clothing off but not make it to the bathroom??

Do I really need to answer this thread, or can everyone recall my horrible inlaws? I'd have to say not acknowledging my daughter's existence is pretty bad. Telling my husband that his mother is dying as a ploy for them to sink their claws into him when she's not dying at all. That's bad, too.
I could go on, but why bother?

I didn't call her out on it. When I found the pile in question. I called DH into the bathroom and I said what is this. He said oh it must have been me I took him for what he said and asked him if I needed to potty train him too like our daughter. Cleaned it up santizied and went on about my day until my MIL said that at my SIL's I almost puked right then and there.

My MIL is awesome, she calls me her daughter and her 2 sons "those people".


Why did your DH take responsibility for the "pile in question"??? That is almost as bad as your MIL sh!tting on your floor!!

She sh*t on the floor??? I would have gotten a mop and bucket and told her to go into the bathroom and clean it up.

#1 How do you **** on the floor? #2 How do you walk out of the bathroom without seeing it on the floor (she obviously saw it and didnt care and left it)?

I thought I read this wrong so I re-read it again and I still don't get it.

MIL was IN THE BATHROOM but decided to use the floor instead of the toilet? What is wrong with her? And more importantly, why didn't SHE clean it up instead of allowing ANYONE to know that she's incontinent?

Thankfully I have no issues at all with my FIL and his wife. DH's 3 brothers have some issues but his sister is GREAT!!! We don't see any of them regularly (FIL & wife down South and 1 BIL & SIL live in South Jersey with their families) so even the issues we have are tolerable and nothing in comparison to the things on this thread.

So, let me understand this. She was IN
the bathroom and instead of using the toilet, she used the floor!! Is her a** so big that it cannot fit on a toilet seat? Is her eyesight failing and she did not see the toilet? This woman is a total sh!t, literally. I give you credit for keeping your cool when you realized what had actually happened. Next Christmas, she would be getting a lifetime supply of Depends from me. What an a**!!! (No pun intended).

ok i just threw up a little bit in my mouth! that is sooooooo disgusting of her!!!!!

i love my IL's, no complaints on my end of MIL, FIL, or BIL...SIL i want to throw out a window from time to time but thats only cause shes become a bridezilla.

This is just disgusting. I mean - even if she was horribly ill and it just HAPPENED... why didn't she attempt to clean up after herself? Why didn't she come and tell you that something had happened and apologize? It wasn't even like she tried to hide it.. she told you about it at a totally different time.

It is inexcusable and repulsive. I would have a very difficult time allowing her back in my home.

OMG that is so disgusting, I don't understand how someone who is in control of their bodily functions could do that...and then not clean it up!!

My IL's are great. My MIL once called me by DH's ex's name when we were dating which was kind of weird, but not a big deal.
