I have a couple of expensive bags that were given to me as gifts. JUST to clarify, by expensive, I mean 500 or less. However, I don't really care about name brands and the costs of things. I have been more than happy with bags I have gotten from Target and Kohls and receive many compliments on them just the same.
Also, if I were as rich as these people spending up to 50k on a freaking pocketbook, you can guaran-damn-tee that I wouldn't be pissing that money away on a bag. But, whatever makes people feel important I guess.

What's the most $ you spent on a purse?
Pre-marriage and pre-DS, I spent $500 each on two Chanel bags (got an awesome deal on them!). Now, I don't buy many bags and when I do it is never more than $200, but usually closer to $100.

I don't own anything higher-end than Coach. Coach OUTLET, mind you  I'm just not into designers. Same with clothes-- I shop at Target, Old Navy, Kohl's. Works for me.
But I don't begrudge people who spend $$$ on bags. It's my choice to buy cheap bags, not everyone shares my feelings. We all have different amounts of money and we manage the money we have differently. Enjoy your designer bags, ladies!

People can say whatever they want over the Internet lol. Spending 50k a week on a bag is bshit. Really wealthy people sure as hell don't talk about it publicly, especially on IG ...unless they are 16 yrs old or extremely insecure

I thought the same thing and I love purses. I can't see blowing a mortgage payment on a bag. No way in hell.
This can't be serious!!!! $3k for a bag is not that much???? I guess I live in a totally different world. Even if I had that kind of money, I can't see ever blowing it on a bag.

I have shopper's guilt when I blow $200 on a discounted designer bag lol. It's all about what you feel comfortable spending. That's also my grocery allowance for 2 weeks lol

I won't spend a lot on one bag, I just like to have a lot of bags . I can honestly say I've probably never spent more than $300 on a bag. But I probably have too many $300 bags.
I may be horrible to say it, I just can't stand LV bags. I wouldn't buy one just because I find them so ugly. I don't mean to offend anyone but why are they so amazing?

I was the same way, and then I started selling some of my older ones on eBay and it became addicting. Gave me more $$ to spend on new bags!!

To answer the OP:
I think the most I ever spent was $250 on a Kate Spade from the outlet & it was marked 50% off. I use my bags for at least a year and a half, so too feel less guilty I divide the price by how long I use it. The guilt goes away pretty quickly when I see how much "per day" it would be

$50 max if even that. I like to switch them up too much to ever spend a lot of money on a purse. I cant even imagine spending $300 or more for a purse. I have other things I'd rather spend money on like food and a mortgage lol

Someone who would spend thousands on a bag is not anyone I know in my reality.
DH STILL talks about the LV he bought years back and how it turned out being a huge big fat waste of $$$$$. (And it was less than $1000).
(Hence my post about selling it).
I guess to each their own though.
If someone wants to save up their money to buy themselves something expensive like that, I don't fault them.
Just because you have $$$$, don't mean you ain't got other problems ;).

While I don't hate them, I definitely don't swoon over them. The very first time I saw the monogram I thought to myself that it reminded me of the pattern on my grandmother's linoleum kitchen floor.
The most I have ever spent on a bag was $500 - this was before I had any financial responsibilities though. Now, I stick to around $100-$200ish
