the average since I got the car- and what I get on the highway
the only reason I wouldn't get another one is the price- I no longer drive to work- so I don't need to lease a new truck every 3 years
I plan on buying a pre-owned one or a pre-owned Lexus 330 - b/c it about $10K cheaper - but alot can change in 20 months when my lease is up- but for now that's my plan
I wish my DH would let me buy a used car. a Lexus is a great car! my sister bought a used Lexus RX 330 and LOVES it so much!! ugh - he can be so stubborn

Honda CR-V.
Pros -- excellent gas mileage, I like the style, Hondas are extremely well-made cars (definitely built to last), roomy, folding seats, etc.
Cons -- does not come in V-6. I say that's a con, but it doesn't really matter a lot to me. It was the worst thing I can think of about it. LOL. It has more than enough pick up and gets excellent gas mileage. That's more important to me than a V6 engine.
I highly recommend it. Test drive a bunch of cars and see what you like.
ETA - We have no children... but my brother also has a CR-V and he and SIL have 1 child and 1 on the way. They got the CR-V so they could fit all the kiddie stuff.

2003 Jeep Liberty. I really like my Liberty. I beat the crap out of it and it still is a really good car.
We have one child and the car seat is fine, but I don't know that if we had two rear facing that it would work (my DH is tall and puts the seat back far) but we aren't having any more kids, so it isn't an issue for us.

Me too, an '06. I love my car - it is the perfect size for me, love all the options/safety features and gas is not bad for an SUV. My lease is up in May and I'm planning to lease another one.

2005 Nissan Murano. Love it...drives like a car...it's sexy LOL. Gas mileage is good compared to my old Explorer. I love the legroom in the back seat....much roomier than my old Explorer and my BFFs Pathfinder. We got it used one year old with 19,000 miles for $22K.

I like it a lot, and it's more than roomy enough for 2 carseats (which, incidentally, we have in our back seat )

I love it.
I get about 18 mpg. but I mostly do highway driving...long commute
The truck has 125,000 miles on it and I've only had to do basic maintenance - no major repairs....knock wood.
I also take it on the beach during the summer and it does great.
Big enough for the dog and stuff...and all for $19,800~
I have an 07 and DH has an 05 and we LOVE ir. Both my parents have 04's. Not one problem with them. on mine i get about 22 MPG and gets about 18 or 19. The 07's are a tad bit bigger than the earlier years but there is plenty of room in them

I have an 07 Hyundai Tuscon, DH has an 05 Hyundai Santa Fe.
We love them both! Mine is so cute because it is smaller than DH's. It drives great and I love being higher in the car, above everyone.

I wish my DH would let me buy a used car. a Lexus is a great car! my sister bought a used Lexus RX 330 and LOVES it so much!! ugh - he can be so stubborn
Jake was kind of against it also
till I did some quick math
leasing a ML 350 for 10 years- $78K
buying a used Lexus and driving it for 7 years-
saves $30K
and 10 years- saves $55K
those numbers don't lie!

Nissan Murano. The only negatives I have is that it has a few blindspots and I will need more room with a second child. Positives are that it handles like a car w/AWD -great in all kinds of weather, good storage, 22 MPG highway, excellent safety ratings.

I drive a 2008 Liberty, this is my 3rd one. DH has an 05 Xterra.
Would love to get a Lexus, but waiting till the kids are older

My DH has an 06 Expedition. Really nice truck...however...it is a gas guzzler (no surprise there). I was against getting it soley for that reason and the environment but he really wanted it. I drive a corolla and we may be switching when we drive to work bc i have a shorter commute!

04 GMC Envoy...LOVE IT!
It is a comfy car, with good gas mileage...Very comfy for long trips & definately roomy....Does wonderful in the snow & you can trailer a boat with no problem
