ok so do you drive an SUV or a minivan??or a car??
Ok so now we are maxed out in my truck
we are a family of 5 and the truck holds 5 people so we are FULL
if DDs friends want to come out with us we have to take 2 cars
We used to have a minivan but the transmission went so we got a truck (used)
with the gas prices the way they are I would like to get another minivan but DH just wants a bigger truck
Which do you think its better??

Well, I never wanted a minivan but it made the most sense for me. I think it probably makes the most sense for you too!
I do like my Odyssey. I will admit that it has loads of features that make my life a lot easier than it was in my old Pilot.

I have a Dodge grand caravan. I like it, the kids have a good amount of room. Its $50 to fill the tank and we get great mileage in it. Huge trunk space. The only thingI don't like about it is the backseat, only one of them has the latch system

I have a SUV right now...it's a Ford Escape, but I'm getting a Ford Edge...which is one of those crossover cars.

I have a car, but I only have one right now. I like the Ford Edge also and I am interested in looking at the Pacifica too.

If I had to go big truck I'd do the Tahoe. The gas mileage is better than the Trailblazer! It has that new Flexfuel system. Just my $.02. May be worth taking a look at. I currently have a Murano but we are outgrowing it with a 75lb dog and a 1.5 yr old. The Tahoe is at the top of our list.

I have a Nissan Murano, which I guess is one of those crossovers. I really like it because it is not too high for me, as I am short, but DH is tall, so it makes things easier for him. We also found it roomier than the Pathfinder or Xterra, which I guess any of these would be too small for your family anyway.

Right now we have 2 sedans, but I hate that if anyone is coming with us we have to use 2 cars. So later this summer we're getting a minivan. I'm still looking into them, but leaning towards the Sienna or the Odessy.

I have the BMW X3 and love it! Its good for us since I just have the one kid, but for 5 people, the X5 would be better if you wanted the SUV.

We have the Honda Pilot and it's great for now. When we upgrade down the line with more kids...we'll def get the Odessey.

We're an SUV family. I am not a minivan person at all. I have a GMC Envoy now, and we're packed with the two kids in it. When I get a new truck soon, I will be getting a GMC Acadia. I had one a few weeks ago and its so nice, fits 7 people, and is a crossover. It's part of the line DH has at the dealership.
GMC Acadia (that's the neighbors truck in the background!!)

ditto. when my boys are driving, we're each going to pick out our own cool SUVs  
I have to say one of the perks of driving a minivan are that people slow down for you or let you go (well not always, trust me) but for the most part, I think we get "oh there are kids in the car" treatment every now and then..

How hard is it for people to get into the 3rd row? My friend has an SUV with a 3rd row and she says that it's hard to get at.
