I'm still pretty new here, and I think I posted when I first joined that I left a previous private message board community where I knew many of the posters IRL because it became a free for all, with people just writing whatever the hell they wanted, basically to stir up ****. It got really cliquey and was beyond annoying.
It wasn't a good feeling obviously, and I have promised myself that I am not going to let myself get caught up in that kind of drama anymore. I'd rather just not respond to people if I see they are trying to bait me (or others) into an argument.
There's something seriously wrong IMO if you spend hours on a message board trying to argue and stir up **** with strangers.
With that said, I always try to remember that there are many different sides to a situation and in many cases, we are going to just have to agree to disagree.

I post my real opinion, but if I strongly disagree with the original poster, I'll try to temper what I say to make sure I don't come across too strongly. And if I have absolutely nothing constructive to add, I don't say anything.

This is me now too. There are just so many times I just say it's not worth it, where in the past I probably would have said what I felt.

definitely REAL , I say it all even though I probably shouldn't...I'm sure I already ruffled some feathers. It's a chat board everyone on here is different.... I think you can say whatever you want but there is a way to say it

Well I've been a member for years & my post count is very low, so I think I fall into the "if you don't have anything nice to say"
I'm not on here enough to get involved in most of the crap & some people just rephrase or re-ask the same question & we all know no matter how eloquently we all write our advice they plan to keep on doing whatever it is they were doing to cause them to ask the question over & over.
I type with two fingers(no lie) & I have carpal tunnel-I need to save it for when it counts

I think I *say* what is on my mind. But many times I have begun a response & then deleted knowing it would be misconstrued or unwanted.....
Although with people I know who like a good debate I like to play devil's advocate for the sake of a good debate (not drama).
