Re: What is your living situation?

We own a pretty decent sized 2BR apt right outside of Manhattan. We have plenty of living space-- it's storage and outdoor space that's the issue. But, after 10 years of apartment living-- you learn to live with it and make the best of what you've got.

We plan to stay here for another year-- then move out to the burbs and get a house.. assuming we can sell our place without taking a major loss.

Re: What is your living situation?

We are moving from 2 BR apt rental to 2 BR house rental. Hopefully, we can get a house soon, but the prices are still high. But maybe with the interest rates the way the are, we can get something. Hopefully it won't be too much to buy a house and have a baby. Chat Icon

thats how dh and i feel, my parents are so good to us living here. only thing is the size. we only have one bedroom. my dad said we could use the computer room next store to our apartment for the baby but i feel like its far from our bedroom. i guess we will wait it out and see if something good comes along soon after the baby

Re: What is your living situation?

We moved into our house the weekend before I was induced. It was incredibly hectic and I couldn't really help b/c I was on bedrest. We had a lot of help from family and I'm glad we got somewhat settled before DS arrived.

We own a one level ranch. We have plenty of storage space and a big yard, but once the baby is here this house is going to feel very small. It's a 3 bedroom, but one room is extremely tiny. We use it as an office.

Re: What is your living situation?

We own a 1-bedroom condo, but have a downpayment saved and have been house-hunting for the past year. We're actively searching, and I'd love to be settled into a house before Chat Icon arrives, but I won't settle for a house I don't love (we plan to stay long-term), so if we are here for a while with the baby, that's fine too. We have a very large 1-bedroom. We're looking for a 4-bedroom, 2 bath house.

Re: What is your living situation?

Two years before DS was born, we had the opportunity to take my inlaws home (the home DH grew up in) and make it a mother/daughter.
My inlaws live in one half, and we have the rest of the house.
They became "snowbirds" and wanted something smaller. Worked out perfect.

Ditto. I would like to move to something larger, but that won't happen for a few more years.
