What is your favorite time of day?

I have to say, no matter what the day has been like, my favorite time is bedtime for DD.

Especially when DH gets her washed up and into her pjs, and then I take over -- we sit in the glider, I read "Goodnight Moon", then turn out the light and give her her bottle. I sing 2 songs and then humm to her while she finishes her bottle.

It's my chance to have quiet down time, and relax with DD. It's my favorite time of day....

But, at what age do you stop rocking DC to sleep? I hope it isn't for a while....

Definitely when I pick her up from daycare. She is always SO SO excited to see me!!!

Today, for example, I could hear her as I approaced her room going "mommy? mommy?" It is SO cute!!

That is soooo my favorite time of day also. No matter what kind of mood he's in before bed - the second he finishes his bottle and is in my arms in the glider - we have the BEST time.

We crack up, and cuddle, and make each other laugh for about a half hour. During this time I always end up crying for a little bit because I'm so amazed by him (stupid I know - but it's inevitable)

LOVE LOVE LOVE right before bed!

I have to say when I get home from work. DH picks Brady up from daycare and I get home around 5. His face lights up when he sees me and no matter what kind of day I had, everything is better.

I love two times of day, but they count as one under the title "Time with Baby"...the rest of my day is at work

Morning Time-- bottle and cuddles and get dressed for school

Night Time- Dinner, bottles, cuddles, bath, book and sleepy time

Basically these 2 hrs are the BEST in my day

Right now. DS is sleeping, dinner is done, dishes are washed and kitchen is cleaned up. I have the night to do what I want.

bedtime here too, shower, brush/floss teeth, lotion, jammies.

Then we both get in Ryans bed. For a while I read two books, lately he likes to "hear stories". So I make him tell me one about his day and then he asks for 2, lately its "mommy tell me a story about your day at work" and "tell me a story about when I was a baby" , I get night night hugs and kissess and a few minutes later he's asleep.

My morning hug is pretty cool too

I have 2 favorite time.

First, in the morning when DD wakes up. I LOVE LOVE LOVE listening to her through the monitor talk to all her stuffed animals in her crib, talking/singing to herself..it makes my heart melt. Then, when I peak my head in the door, she yells MOMMY and stands and jumps up and down for me to take her out.

Second, right before bedtime, it's playtime after bath and such. Then, when I say it's night night time...she goes running to her room, I read her a book and leave the room. Sometimes she talks and plays, sometimes she goes right to sleep and then I have my time to catch up on LIF, finish working, watch tv, etc.

I have a few. If DS wakes up and is in a good mood, sometimes he'll just lay there and "talk" to himself and whrn I walk in his room he just looks up at me with his huge eyes and smiles. He just looks so sweet. He is great in the am.

The other would also be bedtime just like you said. I usually give him his bottle in the glider & it's just such a nice relaxing bonding time.

The last one would be just as a previous poster said, just after DS falls asleep and the kitchen, laundry, etc. is done & I finally have a chance to just cozy up on the couch, watch TV, go on the computer, etc.

at 7 am when Kristina starts talking in her sleep....

it's just enough to wake me so that I can take my hot shower, and have my hot cup of coffee uninterrupted.

after getting ready and being ready for the day..... she's fully awake (takes her about 45 minutes - she goes in and out of sleep), I go into her room quiet as a church mouse, and peer over the crib rail, and quietly go psssssssssssssssssstttt... and she smiles a big smile.....

then i sing good morning to you to her and she cuddles my neck, and we get changed, bottle and let the day begin!!!!!!

Around 7:00 pm when I go to pick up Athan from my mom's house. I love to see how excited he gets when I walk in the door. Also 6:00 am is special - that's when he wakes up and just lays in the crib, looking up at his mobile, playing with his feet or hands/fingers and patiently waits for me to go to get him. As soon as he spots me, he gets a huge gummy smile, and rolls and rolls till I pick him up.

I love when I go in to get DD in the morning. As soon as she hears the door creak, she always gets a huge smile on her face. Sometimes her eyes are still closed or she closes them because of the light, but she still has a huge smile. I love it!!!

in AM, when she gets up. DD wakes up screaming for her bottle. i, of course, am usually half asleep, so we get back into my bed,she cuddles up against me and drinks her bottle. its the only time all day that she sits and cuddles.
on a side note, we're trying to phase form bottles to sippy cups, and she had a cow when i tried ot give a sippy in am. i guess she likes cuddle time too

Giving up rocking isn't as bad as it sounds. Now my ds and I lay in his bed, read a book, sing one song, say prays and talk about his day for a minute or too. It is not the same, but it is still good. He is four. Eventually though he will send me from his room and go to bed on his own. Or sneak out the window YOu are right we better enjoy this time now.

Bed time is the best time of da for me too.

Toss up...the morning snuggle when they've climbed in my bed to go back to sleep or the nighttime snuggle when they talk about the stuff about their day that they forgot about during dinner.

Bedtime for sure, and I alternate with DH so its even more special if i havent done it in a day or two. The way he calms in my arms amazes me. We read 3 books while he drinks his bottle and then sing or hum till he falls asleep.

I also love when In the AM he is just sitting in his crib playing with his toys waiting for me to come get him and he plays so nice and makes such cute noises. I Love opening the door to say that first good morning!

Nap time....duh!

Just kidding, its actually first thing in the morning when I go into DS' room and he says "morning!"

Or anytime through out the day he will turn to me and say Hi Mommy! as if its the first time he saw me all day....its so freakin cute!

Um, about 9pm. It's about a half hour after I put Ava down and just when I'm done cleaning up for the evening. I know, my answer should be something sappy about Ava, but it's not, it's the best when she goes to bed

Since we dropped down to nursing two times a day, they are really special times for me. First thing in the morning is so nice. I get up and dressed and make my bed and I can hear that Sabrina is getting ready to get up. I stepped into the hallway and she is up and I go in and see her smiling saying "morning, Mommy". So I change her diaper and we smile and laugh and she nurses her morning milk and then I finish getting ready for work and she plays in my bedroom and then we head to my parents (they watch her).


At bedtime, DH gives her a bath and I put her lotion and jammies on and help her brush her teeth and comb her hair. Then we read Good Night, Moon. On the last page, Sabrina says "done" and claps her hands. I ask her what's next and she points to my boobs and says "milk" She kisses Daddy good night and we lay down and nurse and then snuggle (I spoon her and it feels great). She drifts off to sleep next to me and then DH puts her in bed. At the end of the day, I love snuggling with my little girl.

Strangely this online time I have now is just filler. I really love snuggle time.

I have 2....

#1...When DH comes home from work and she hears him come in the back door and she starts hysterically laughing and running towards the back door. Her excitement to see him is priceless

#2...Like you Kara...it's bedtime. DH is usually the one to give her a bath...then I'll give her a night-night massage...put on her pjams...then she gets all excited to pick out her books for DH to read to her for bedtime (his job). Her new favorite is "Princess Baby". She says it in the CUTEST way. She can't quite get the princess part...so it's mumbled...but the baby part sounds adorable!! Then they sit in the rocking chair reading. When that's done, I nurse and when I'm finished, she leans in to give ME a kiss good-night and into the crib she goes

I just LOVE her cuteness!!!!

Bedtime for me too. I love putting her to bed, and laying next to her for a few minutes before I go. She gives me a whole recap of her day, and just keeps hugging and kissing me and telling me how much she loves me

Bedtime for me too...love when he cuddles on me after his bottle. I MUST admit that i also love the part of the day when he is SLEEPING...whether naps or for the nite..i love my down time..lol

Mine is definitely first thing in the morning when Jacen wakes up. He is just so smiley and happy in the morning (he didn't get that from his parents ). We just sit on the couch and laugh. It's great!

I have two...I have always loved getting-ready-for-bed time. She smells so good from her nap, we cuddle up to take the nebulizer, and she gives me such great kisses when I tuck her in at night.

I also have been loving picking her up from school and hearing the stories she tells me about her day!
