1. Forgetting who I am... it sounds silly but I have spent my life being the person everyone wants me or I think they want me to be that I don't even know myself.
2. Developing credit card debt
3. Not starting my BCBA coursework earlier in my carreer.

Not going for that job interview... I'll never know what would've came from it... that was my turning point...
What made you decide not to go to the interview?
Fresh out of school and nerves got the best of me...  I always wonder what would be different. Maybe everything, maybe nothing... but I'll never know.

What is your biggest regret in life?
Moving to LI. If I hadn't moved here, I never would have left my old job in the city for my new job on LI and I wouldn't be completely and utterly miserable.

No really huge regrets overall but a few things that come to mind.
Not saving more money when I actually had money to save.
Not going into a state/federal job with a pension and benefits.
Not having more fun in high school and college - I was too serious about studying.

What is your biggest regret in life?
Not paying interest on my law school loans while I was still in school and working instead of deferring and letting it accrue. It would've saved me a lot of money but I didn't know any better at the time.

Just not living life more and traveling etc before kids and a mortgage
Haven't had a date night since my kids were born and realizing that we should have done more before

Listening to my parents about going to the college they wanted me to go to instead of the one I wanted to go to. I would have done better academically if I didn't go to such a big school that was so competitive

What is your biggest regret in life?
Lots of things , but a few are not enjoying my highschool , college and early 20s in the carefree way I should have , there wasn't much fun or pleasure because of so many circumstances. Not traveling when I might have had the chance, not being myself and making people accept me for me and not asserting myself , wasting a year in a grad program I knew was wrong for me , financial issues ( student loans, but thankfully all paid off now ) , how I went about establishing my career. The good thing is that a lot of these issues have improved with time and better decisions and some outside help / good luck.

What is your biggest regret in life?
Not doing semester at sea, not traveling more in college when I had the time and money, I kind of wish I went for my masters right out of college. I don't think I need it now but sort of want it anyway. Everything else I think happened for a reason.

What is your biggest regret in life?
None.. I feel very fulfilled and accomplished I went away to school, studied abroad, I have my DH and my twin boys now.i am professionally where I want to be and earned my BCBA which was a major accomplishment for me. I wish we traveled a bit more by we are looking forward to vacationing with our kids. I feel very very fortunate. My one thing I am working on is a better relationship with my mom. We don't always get along but I'm trying.. that's all I can do.

This is me exactly! I wasn't into DH when we were dating, I dragged my feet on getting engaged, and yet I still married him b/c I didn't want to lose my best friend. I'm finally correcting that mistake (separated on Monday) after being together 16 years.
My other big regret is not researching more before I went to college. It was before the internet and I just assumed that if I went to the biggest school in the state, that they'd have what I wanted. Um....nope!

Sure there are things I regret but nothing big. And I truly believe I am a stronger person for all the not so great things in my life and made me the self sufficient independent person I am today.

I regret always being tied down in a relationship throughout high school and college. I really wish I would have enjoyed being single and spending time making memories with my friends, travelling more, etc. Had I done that, I would have stayed away at college instead of moving back home, I wouldn't have gotten married so young, and I would have really enjoyed my 20's like I should have.
I also regret not sticking to my original college major of Education. I switched to a Psyc degree and really cant do all that much with it. I would love to be teacher now and have summers off, a great salary, a pension, a similar schedule to my kids, etc. I'm really kicking myself for that one now.

There are teachers out here who hate their jobs because of all the politics ...not the field it used to be. Also your primary reasons for becoming a teacher should not be the ones you just mentioned.

This is mine too! A lot of good came out of my divorce, I changed as a person for the better, allowing me to meet my now DH and have my DS, but I regret not canceling my wedding when I knew it wasn't right.
I also regret ever trying drugs with my friends. They were able to do it recreationally on the weekends, I became a full-blown addict. I wish I hadn't done that, I would have had a lot more money today if I hadn't fallen into an expensive addiction.

Giving up on my marriage even though my Ex DH had it coming. Once lawyers got involved there was no going back, but in retrospect I think it could have been saved. I also regret not getting a new marital counselor once I realized ours was a kook.
I keep thinking, I should be planning a family trip to Disney this summer and a big blow out BBQ for my kids' upcoming 5th birthday. Instead I'm trying not to look at my phone to see if the guy I'm casually dating has texted me. At 37. Again. Sigh.

My biggest life regrets:
1 - Having that first cigarette at age 19
2 - Having to start my daughter in daycare at 13 weeks old

This 100%. I lost myself in my 20's. While I was married and had a baby. I just gave up on ME. And it was the hardest thing to get back.

My biggest regret was not going away to college. I changed my mind 2 weeks before I was set to go. It was a good school then but a much better school now and I got a full ride. I do realize that had I left; my life would be completely different. I would never have come home and would have probably cut ties with my parents at some point.

That I didn't get married and have kids earlier. I met DH when I was 21 and a senior in college. Bc of schools and career, we were long distance for many years and I was 34 when we got married and 36 when I had my first kid.
That I went away for law school. College was more than enough.
That I didn't spend more time enjoying my twenties and cultivating friendships. I've always been a big homebody but DH always went out even when we weren't together and I stayed home like an idiot. I also wish I had more female friends right now, which is not easy to make those friendships at almost 40.
Career has taken a back burner to three kids right now, and I'm starting to get upset. I see people with less talent and tenure advancing ahead of me bc they are able to take advantage of opportunities that I can't. Along the same lines, I wish I had the guts to leave my very stable job but the schedule and benefits are amazing and I know I would regret it if I left.

What is your biggest regret in life?
I really don't have any big regrets. The only thing that comes to my mind is that I should have moved away after college for a little bit. I would have loved to be single, get my own tiny apartment, get a job and just explore on my own.
