What do you call your in-laws?
Do you call them mom and dad? By their first names? Mr. and Mrs.? Anything? I feel uncomfortable saying ANYTHING lol. I love them like a mom and dad and we have a great relationship.... chat on the phone with my mil forever, go shopping, and so on but it just feels weird saying mom or dad or the first names or Mr. And Mrs. I normally avoid any situation where I have to use their names.

What do you call your in-laws?
I call both my mil and stepmil by their names but I call dh's grandparents nana and papa.

What do you call your in-laws?
Nothing lol. I've known them for 12 years and never call them by name. I've always managed to avoid it. We're close but I always feel awkward referring to them by name and I would never refer to them as mom or dad.
DH does the same with my parents. Not sure how we've been able to avoid it all these years. LOL

I call them by their first names, I'm not comfortable calling anyone but my own parents 'mom' and 'dad.'
I actually knew DH's dad before I knew DH..his dad bowls at the bowling alley that I used to work at so I've always known him as John. Once I started dating DH I asked him if he wanted me to call him something else and he said absolutely not!
DH also calls my parents by their first names, sometimes he'll call my mom 'mom' but not in front of his mother. Lol

What do you call your in-laws?
I call my MIL "mom". I wasn't sure what to do, but then I noticed she referred to herself that way to me, on phone messages, emails and cards. I love her and am comfortable with it.

OMG ditto lol. So awkward. Now that we have kids, sometimes we will refer to them as nana, etc. So funny.

What do you call your in-laws?
Can't imagine calling anyone other than my own parents mom and dad. I call MIL by her first name, but now that I think of it I do it rarely as I never call her, ask for anything or see a lot. If she calls the house and I pick up I tell DH " ur mom on the phone"
DH is same with my parents

DH and I both alternate between mom & their first names - for me sometimes I call mil (fil died when we were 16) mom sometimes I call her Claudia... And for him sometimes he calls my mom/dad/grandparents by their first names and sometimes he calls them mom/dad/gma/gpa. For him, he feels more comfortable around my family than his (just a different environment, I think he feels more free to be himself), so the terms of endearment came easier for him.

Glad I'm not the only one. When talking about her to someone, I just refer to her as DH's mom lol.

i call them by their names.
It recently (after 7 years of marriage) has come out that they are mad i don't call them mom and dad. I guess it bothers them.
But i have a mom. You only have 1 mom and mine can't be replaced.

Mom and dad. They will never replace my parents but i grew up with my parents calling each others parents mom and dad so it was never something thats awkward for me.

If I write them a card or something, I write their first names.
It has nothing to do with them. I am just, personally, uncomfortable calling anyone mom and dad other than my mom and dad. I feel like we have really been through a lot as a family, and they are the only people who can be my mom and dad.
DH calls my parents mom and dad though and does call them that frequently in front of his parents. To avoid being awkward and uncomfortable on my part, I just don't say anything in person. If I absolutely had to use a name, I WOULD use their first names.

Mom and Dad.....starting on the day we got married. It took A LONG time to get used. We've been married closer to a decade now, and really, its only been completely second nature within the last 2 years.
