What age did you move your infant from your room to their own crib?

My dd is 5 weeks she sleeps in the pack and play in our room and I can't even begin to imagine letting her sleep in her own crib. I wake up constantly to check her now, and she is still up feeding every 2 hrs? How old was your dc when you moved them to their own room and crib, and did you actually get sleep knowing they were in there alone?

DD slept in her crib from day 1 and yes I did sleep when she slept

DD was 3.5 months. It was hard at first - I leave the video monitor on ALL night still and she's 16 months today!

5 months.

But before the full transition, we would put her down to go to sleep in her crib and then transfer her to our room when we went to bed. I just wanted her with us. Then she outgrew the pnp so we just let her sleep in her room all night at that point. The first few nights I checked the monitor a lot... but eventually got used to it.

When DS was 3 months. He was not comfortable in the bassinet anymore next to our bed. We moved him to his own room/crib. Best thing ever we all slept much better. I have the video camera so I hear/see every move he makes.

6 months because I am an idiot.

We did CIO last week and she has been sleeping beautifully in her crib at night. I do sleep when she does. I promise, you get so tired that you will sleep when she does!

4.5 months

She slept in a bassinet next to our bed until she was 2 months and then we moved her into her crib in her own room, transition went well!

We moved them from their bouncy seats in the LR to their cribs at 3 months. <They refused to sleep in their cribs before then and didn't like their bassinets either.>

With the video monitor, it works. We can check in on them as often as we want.

DD at 10 weeks.

DS will be in my room when he goes to college. I'm not ready to let him go, and since he'll be sharing a room with DD, I don't want him to wake her up. The only thing worse than one child awake at night is 2!

ETA: After the first night of DD sleeping in her own crib I was able to sleep when she slept. The first time she STTN I woke up at her usual wake up time, panicking that I hadn't heard her cry.

from the start with both kids... Well, with DD when she was 3 weeks old, but that's because her crib wasn't delivered until then.

And yes, I do sleep when they do!

DS was 2 mos. He outgrew the bassinet very quickly and his room was right across the hall. DD is further away, we just moved her to her room at 5 mos.

DD slept in her crib from day one, I would just check the monitor constantly but yes I was able to sleep when she was in there.

my infant is now a toddler
13 months and is still co sleeping with us

7 weeks. My husband needed his rest for work. And I went back to work at 8 weeks, so I needed rest too.

When we moved into our new house last month. He transitioned pretty well. I still turn to the video monitor at the slightest stir and check to make sure he's OK. After 4 months of having him right next to me it's been harder on me.

The first night home all of mine were in the crib in their room.

Within the first week, DD was sleeping in her crib.

One month - he was keeping us up all night with his little noises - and he was STTN.

I always said that I would have DD in her crib from day one.
But then I realized how much easier it is to do night feedings when she is right next to me.
If I had to get up and out of bed everytime she fussed, cranked or needed a feeding I'd never get any sleep at all!
Sometimes she fusses and just needs to be turned over from one side to the other and BAM! she is out cold again.
So I feel like I NEVER want to put her in her crib...just out of convience for me.
Maybe once she is TRULY sleeping through the night I'll consider it.
But for now, it's just easier with the night feedings
