lynbrook bridal on sunrise highway. i would NOT recommend them. they were sweet as pie up until i ordered the dress. i had an absolutely horrific experience afterwards, especially with the alterations. i am still sad when i look at pics of myself in my dress

I didn't have a problem with them, but they weren't the nicest to one of my bridesmaids.
This is where I got mine. I had no problems with them. I had alterations done by a seamstress who works out of her home.
My bridesmaids dresses were from Adrienne's in Islip. One of them had a horrible experience with the seamstress.

Lidias in Copiague - BEST customer service ever!!  They are no longer there, but they work out of the wedding place in West Islip on John St... I can't remember the name though!

My sister got her dress there, and the staff was WONDERFUL!! I got mine at Burton's Bridal, but only b/c Helen's didn't carry the designer.

I bought mine at David's Bridal and had it altered at Ingrid's in Setauket (or Stony Brook - one of those).
A colleague of mine just got married and bought her dress and had it altered at Paradise Bridals in Patchogue and had a MISERABLE time. I know everyone says how wondering that place is but her dress was ordered wrong, they tried to convince her it was her fault (it wasn't), and then they gave her nothing but trouble when she wanted them to fix it.
This place is AWFUL! I witnessed them yelling at a bride. They screwed up my mother's dress for my sister's wedding and I have two friends that had miserable experiences there and one of them knows the owner personally.

Bridal Suite of Bay Shore - I had ZERO problems with them, but a friend of mine said dealing with them was a headache... I was an 08 bride, she was 09.
I got mine here as well.
No problems until the dress came in. THEY ORDERED ME THE WRONG SIZE... TOOO SMALL!!!

No I used them as well and I LOVED THEM!!!!! They did really good not only for me but my bridal party as well.
I was lucky b/c they closed down 1 month after my wedding!!!!

Bridal reflections, carle place...do not recommend. I had a great experience until I got up to alterations. The seamstress was nasty and bad and I didn't have much to alter. My zipper broke at almost the very end of the church ceremony and I had to hold the back of my dress together with one hand as I exited the church. My mom had to sew my dress shut from top to bottom and I had to cut it off with a scissor at the end of the night. Not to mention that I had to pay for the limos to stay longer and didn't have as much time for my outside pictures. They cleaned my dress for free and fixed it supposedly(i don't know b/c it came in the box from the preservers) but I don't really feel that was that great of a compensation. They told me I should have called them and they would have sent someone to fix it for me Like I had time the day of my wedding for that!

Had a good experience except I specifically ordered my dress over a year early so that I'd have it in plenty of time. Except they didn't tell me that they order the dresses so that they don't come in until 8 weeks before your wedding. I wish they would've told me that instead of giving me the run-around.
My BMs and mom ordered their dresses from Helen's in Commack; I wanted to order from there but they couldn't order from my designer.
