thank god you are ok, 
but just to let you know regarding having to be pre med for dental treatment due to having a MVP is no longer needed and they should have known that- the american heart association sent out letters to all health care professionals last year regarding this so please dont get worried about that, especially in the future.
the AHA found it is no different than when you are brushing your teeth at home and bleed. again this is for MVP if you have artificial placements in your heart or anywhere else in body than yes you need too.
edited to say, I had something similiar happen to me at work, I felt chest pains tightness in my heart area and tingling in my hands and legs- I went to hospital after all tests and 11 hours later they concluded I had a heart muscle spasms.

wow, I am so sorry you had to go through that scary experience. I often experience chest pain and have mitral valve prolapse and it doesn't get any easier when I have episodes....
I hope you get a thorough second opinion and feel better soon!

That must have been very scary - I'm glad you are going to St. Francis they are good on the island for heart issues - my mom also has the same heart issues (prolapse mitral valve etc.). Something similar happened to her back when I was in high school and we spent Thanksgiving day at St Francis and they never figured out what happened to her either.
I hope they find out what happened and it never happens again.
