TikTok School Challenges
Have you heard about the awful TikTok School Challenges? I feel like an old curmudgeon, but I can't believe kids think this is acceptable. My son's principle made an announcement that there will be consequences if anyone does this at his school.
Sept: Vandalize school bathrooms
Oct: Smack a staff member
Nov: Kiss your friend's girlfriend at school
Dec: Show your private parts
Jan: Jab a breast
Feb: Mess up school signs
March: Make a mess in the courtyard or cafeteria
April: "Grab some eggs" (stealing challenge)
May: Ditch day
June: Flip off in the front office
July: Spray a neighbor's fence

TikTok School Challenges
I only heard about the first one. Apparently, some kids did vandalize the bathroom in the middle school and high school. It’s really horrible! I hope it doesn’t continue!

Yes, it was called devious lick. My kids middle school bathroom was damaged by over privileged idiots whose parents do not care. The kids were suspended and the families are being forced to pay. They are mad they have to pay for their kid’s destruction.

The parents should definitely pay! I would gladly pay if my kid did something like that. But then, I'd make my kid pay me back -- whether in extra chores, losing cell phone privileges, or something else. I told my daughter that she better not even think of doing something like that!

This is ridiculous. Smack a teacher?? These "poor parents" will be in a rude awaking after their precious kid gets arrested. If my daughter did any of these things, she would be living life like its the 1980s, cord phone and all.

TikTok School Challenges
As a teenager i did April, May and June (and lets not forget any other senior pranks back then) but the difference is there was no platforms to document it on to have attached to you forever. Some kids nowadays are not to bright if they don't realize that.

You know when I knew Tiktok was bad?
When a mother was filming her baby having a seizure and being rushed to the hospital.
Can you imagine you baby having a seizure and you're rushing to the hospital and you're filming it so you can post on Tik Tok later to that dumb ass song- "I can be brown, I can be blue, I can be violet sky".
This world has really taken a turn into the toilet lately.
I have Tik Tok so I can monitor my DD and I do follow a small business I love on there, but honestly, it's a cesspool.

This sounds like crap kids have always done but now they’re so stupid they make it public.
I don’t have tik tok but I watch Steveioe and he is hilarious.

Also if you think these are bad, you haven’t seen a senior scavenger hunt list. Some of it is just disgusting. I am sure it has always been like this, maybe just gets a little worse through the years but kids have always done pranks and not sure why people are shocked now.

I don't think they are much different than 20 or 30 years ago honestly. Not condoning any of them but just saying these kids didn't make up this stuff. It has been around forever.
There were kids in high school that would go around pulling the front of girls hair. It was stupid and immature and that was many moons ago. Now they just have cameras and video to catch every second of these stupid things.

I feel confident in my statement on this matter.
I’ve seen board of ed meetings and the parents who speak up. Their kids are little entitled horrors the majority of the time. Teachers who are in the battlefields with these kids and dealing with their parents would agree.

Oh I am NOT denying that kids can follow their parents but you can have 2 kids in a family and one will go one way in life and the other another. That doesn't mean the parents were bad or maybe they were and one saw that and didn't want to be the same.
That is why parents should not take all the credit for their kids nor take all the blame.

Kids are absolutely worse than 20-30 years ago. I was in Highschool then. Pranks were ditching class and stink bombs. My son is a freshman in Highschool and the stories he tells are ridiculous. And he knows better than to get caught up in it. In fact he got called to the principals office today bc he was exposed to covid. Luckily he is vaccinated so no quarantine but for about 5 minutes he was there he was a nervous wreck. BECAUSE he knows sh** would hit the fan if he got caught up in some stupid crap. So yep. Parenting does play a huge part in all of this.

Idk where you went to HS but in the 90s we were certainly not jabbing breasts or exposing ourselves to other students. Maybe we cut school after prom or TP’d the school before homecoming.
Who is raising these animals?? These pranks should not be normalized because people think “everyone did it”.

For once I do agree with you that parenting does play a huge part. Do I think all kids that are bad have bad parents? Nope but I do think many parents are more lax now then 30 years ago.
