We have a fake because for some reason my dog started to eat our real one a few years ago.

I hate to admit this, but I feel bad for the real trees (I'm the type that doesn't want to cut flowers becuase I feel they belong on the plant )

While the real trees are undoubtedly prettier and smell better, the combo of tree-cutting guilt and the fire-hazard aspect prevent me from going 'real'.

(please everyone, don't light your tree once those needles begin to come off in your hand if you pull on the end of a branch.... it's already a hazard... )

Real! All the way! Love the smell. Watering and Vacuuming does not really bother me. We have always had real trees. We go out east and cut it down ourselves too.

Fake when I was growing up. My Mom was a Christmas nut, but always wanted her fake tree because of how long she kept it up. (the day after Thanksgiving till middle of January).

When I moved in with my S/O, we got a real tree, it was nice - but I don't see the big deal.

Now we are living with his sister and she has a fake tree.
