Those with Christmas trees...Real or Fake?
And why?
For me its fake cause its much easier to maintain. no watering and i just put it away after the holidays back into its box. im lazy that way.
we had a real one once when i was little and i just hated the smell and having to pick up pine needles all the time! so from there on my family always had fake!

We have an artificial tree. I don't like the smell or mess of a real tree plus it's a fire hazard.

Real up until we had DS. Then, we ran out of room, and time to get one, take care of it, etc.
I like the idea of a real one, and we may get real ones in the future, but for now, we have a smaller, fake tree. It's just easier.

Real & would not do it any other way. For us, we have hardwood floors so the cleanup is not hard at all. Watering it everyday is totally worth the fresh pine smell in the house...

I love real trees... I had them growing up. I loved the hunt for the PERFECT tree and the excitement leading up to the trip.
Last year we bought a fake tree. And the reason is because it is cleaner, less of a fire hazard now that we have a fireplace that ***** the water out of the real trees and it is less expensive overall and less hassle. Plus - the idea of hacking a gorgeous tree down just to sit and die in my livingroom... just stopped appealing to me.
Yeah - I'm a sell out. But I am a happy sell out!

I love the smell of the real trees. We had a fake one growing up b/c of a fireplace. Then my mom started putting in another room and has been getting real for the last few years.
DH and I will be getting a real on this year.
We don't have room to store a fake one even if we wanted it!

I love real trees. I love the way they smell and how they look. I don't mind the extra cleaning or watering. However , sometimes I don't like them because they're hard to string the lights with how uneven they are. It's not enough to stop me from getting a real one, though.

Real this year, because we have no place to store a fake tree all year round. Besides, I love the smell although I'm not sure how I'm going to climb under it to keep it watered with this big belly... I think DH will be getting a new chore this year.

Real. We always had real trees growing up and I can't imagine Christmas without my house smelling like a Christmas tree. It's a giant pain in the butt to get, put up, and clean up the mess -- but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Growing up we always had a fake tree...and I always complained...the response I received was that "When you move out you can make whatever tree decisions you want..." I have had a real tree since 2000 and love it...the smell...the excitement of getting the "perfect" tree...pine needles? Messy? Sure...but it's also an instant deoderizer for the vaccum cleaner
