The ONLY thing I don't like in this season is that irritating professor chick. I don't like ANYTHING about the character, she adds nothing to the show.
At least she's not in the latest episode.
It was another weird one where the 2 sides have conflicting opinions about what happened. Still seems like Noah's hallucinating b/c of his drug addiction and PTSD from his time in jail, but I wouldn't be surprised if at the end, it turns out that the guard really has been messing with him.
Helen's so messed up. She was awful to sleep with that guy in the last episode (although shame on him for cheating on his fiance), and she's so messed up when it comes to Noah.

I noticed that in Helen's version, she's a hot mess. In Noah's version, she's very pulled together. I love how the show does the two versions of the stories. You didn't see Noah's version of how Helen got him out of the lake though. I wonder if he will end up back in jail. Between avoiding the parole officer and showing up at the CO's parents business, I think he's going to get himself in trouble. I bet he's going to hunt down the guy's wife next.

I miss the first season when all the characters showed up in each episode. Not enough Cole & Allison this season and too much Noah for me.

I agree. I also find helens parts boring. I was pretty bored during ep 7, though I am enjoying this season overall. Season 1 was the best!!

I only started watching the show because baby Joanie was played by the twins of someone I know. I loved the first 2 seasons and this season, I am always 2 episodes behind and don't even care.

I feel like I wrote this.
I can't even be bothered to watch the last 2 episodes. I've really been thinking of just dumping it, especially with Homeland coming back. They've done nothing this season to make me want to watch. I feel like watching paint drying is more exciting right now.

The Affair - season 3
I feel like watching this season is actually like watching 2 (or possibly 3) completely different shows. There are too many story lines and they will go 2 or more episodes without even showing anything to do with Cole and Allison. So you end up forgetting they're even a part of the show, just to jump back to them and lose touch with what's going on with Helen and Noah. And it way too much about the prison guard. We get it. He had a rough time in prison. They're taking way too long to get to the point. I bet the season will end with no resolution for any of the characters.

Episode 8 spoilers....
I thought it was a great episode. We learned a lot - not that I really thought Cole attacked Noah, but the mystery of where he was is solved.
We also know they're definitely divorced. Noah signed the papers, but the camera shot to them sitting on his seat in the car, so we never knew if he sent them in or not. Now we know he did. That also tells us the only real connection between them is the car accident.
I feel so bad for Luisa. I know everyone adores Cole and I do like him, but part of me hopes Luisa gets fed up and leaves him in spectacular fashion. I doubt it will happen though.
It's nice to see Alison's intelligent and empathetic side coming out, and just to see her bouncing back in general. The downward spiral of both female leads was getting depressing.
What does everyone think?

Very disjointed, I agree. I also don't understand the purpose of Helen talking to Alison in the bar. Was it just to connect the 2 stories again? Because it didn't.
I also cannot stand Luisa. I don't know why, I just find her irritating.
I've watched from the very beginning and I don't know if I can take another Noah/Helen episode. I might abandon it after this season if things don't start looking up.

I had the house to myself for a couple hours today and caught up. The latest episode was better...probably because there was barely any Noah and lots of Cole. Still not happy with this season and how disconnected it is.

The Affair - season 3
I really must be watching a different show. I think the season has been great (with the exception of the addition of the French professor). The acting has been superb. Each week, I look forward to Sundays so I can watch. Dominic West was absolutely incredible in tonight's episode. So
much was explained tonight. It looks as though next week's finale jumps into the future. I'm really surprised by how many people don't like this season.

I just watched all 9 episodes over the last 2 days.
I actually think it's a great season. I think watching them one right after the other helped to keep my interest.

Did I miss anything from the time he entered the apartment and realized the water was running up to the time he stabbed himself?
Isn't is odd how in Alison's version of events, Helen wouldn't let her tell her about the incident with Scotty but in Helen's version, Alison tells her she pushed Scotty? You would think they would have the same story with something like that.

Noah totally just lost his $hit while in prison. As soon as I saw the interaction between the guard and his son and then his reaction to Noah at his house I KNEW Noah was nutso.
I had a feeling all along because it seemed impossible that the guard would be EVERYWHERE haunting him and who else could've stabbed Noah in his apartment? He started having an epic breakdown in prison and imagined all of it............the guard tormenting him, the guard following him once he was out. Plus, the cops NEVER followed up when he kept saying it was the guard who stabbed him which means there must've been nothing there to investigate.
He's a complete mess, I wonder what will happen from this point forward now!

I'm just disappointed because it looks like the finale will be dominated by Noah and Juliette and I find that the least interesting storyline of the season.
I can't believe there's just one episode left already!

I actually really liked it.
I liked that they repaired the relationship between Noah and his kids. Saw a different side of him in tonight's episode. And I found myself really liking him. I guess at that end he was reminded that he had no place to go. Will be interesting to see where they take him next season.

I liked the season overall but I wish there was one more episode to close out things with Allison, Helen, and Cole I was disappointed that Juliette took up so much of the finale, she was barely noteworthy in this season. I guess they needed her story to arc the story with Noah's daughter. The episode was OK but sucked as the finale............ I was left wanting more.
