Re: Tell parents/siblings about BFP right away or wait 10 weeks?

Well, when I first began my TTC journey, I figured I would tell my family and close friends almost right away. Now that it's taken so long and I've come to realize just how fragile pregnancy can be, especially in the early stages, DH and I have resolved to wait until we have a heartbeat before telling our close family (parents and siblings) and one or two very close friends. All others will be once we are safely out of our first trimester.

Right away. If god forbid something went wrong I would tell them so IMO there would be no point in waiting.

I am waiting. The plan was to tell my parents at 8 weeks, but I went in for a sono today (I had some pink spotting) and I saw the heartbeat. I'm currently 6 weeks. I may tell them sooner; I just wanted to wait until I saw it to tell my parents. They will be the first to know because (god forbid) something happened I would need them!! I don't plan on telling my friends or my job until at least 12 weeks.

I would really like to wait but I have a big mouth and share way too much with friends and family as it is so i know I won't be able to keep it a secret for 12 weeks!
