So let me tell you about my morning
I am still somewhat in shock.
I have 2 pugs. One is 6 and the other about 2.
They were happy go lucky, playing all morning, acting completely normal.
I let them outside to run around. Looked at on the deck, only saw one of them.
Started calling "Emma, Emma, where are you".
I thought she got out, although that's damn near impossible.
Anyways, I started looking high and low all around my yard, went behind the garage......everywhere.
I finally found her. She was behind a pile of wood in a side corner of our yard.
My pug had passed away.
We don't know what happened. We don't want to know. Just hope that she went peacefully. DH just took her to the Babylon Animal Shelter to have her body disposed of.
He was so upset. He had to drive all the way home from Harlem.
We are so sad.......
RIP Ms. Emma.

im very sorry to hear that... what a horrible way to start the morning.
they do say that a pet passing at home, especially when you have other pets, is the best thing. the other pets "understand" where they went as opposed to just disappearing one day (ie vets office).
how is Emma's "brother/sister" dealing?

Darby is doing well. Emma was actually the youngest pug which is why it's strange. I know he knew something was up because he went and hid under the deck when I was looking for her.
DH thinks it was either the heat or she got into something she shouldn't have not necessarily food---but something that maybe did something to her insides.
