I think he is very smart and clever not many people could have gotten this far with that history. And this is all fact. The OP *clearly* states say ONE genuinely positive thing about the candidate you are NOT voting for.
Instead, you chose to make a snide remark, based on your opinion, which was a backhanded comment..
I gathered that the intention of this post was to promote positivey in our different political beliefs...
I guess you can't comprehend that which is why YOU are one of those people I would tune out because you have one agenda, stick to it (which is great) but are INCAPABLE of being objective.

I know and it's disappointing. I thought OP had a great idea with this thread and I was enjoying some of the responses until I saw the immaturity and nastiness. This thread was for the sole purpose of being nice and positive, so if you're not going to be, why respond?

I have to ask...how do you know this to be fact?
EVERYTHING I've heard states the opposite...that they were associated with similar non-profit organizations to help schools and communities.l They sat on boards together (with members from both parties) and met maybe a dozen times over the course of a number of years. That doesn't sound like friends to me.

I agree.
Regardless of the things that I disagree with, I think McCain is out for Americans and would make a great president.
And I figured I would throw in something about Palin too, as one of her biggest Non-Supporters. I believe she has great ambition and, aside from her public "mistakes", she is a smart and intelligent woman.

I admire Barack's passion and his ambitions, which I believe are truly borne out of his desire to really improve life in America for most Americans.
(I must say, this is the first election that I am NOT voting Democrat, and except for 2 key issues for me, i really do like him.)

I admire the OP for making a positive post. I admire each person who came on here and tried to answer honestly and in good faith withno snark and no agendas.
Both candidates, IMO, are god decent men with distinguished records of service to this country.

Its sad to see that on both sides, whether it is a snide comment about watery eyes, marrying up, or accusations about relationships with terrorists, that the true desire of this post couldn't stay true.
So with that said, I'll say...that I think he and his wife are intelligent, thoughtful people, great parents and truly have a desire to bring about change in this country.

actually- he never used the word "friends" - that would have been Palin- "pal around"
he said last night- he was on a committee for education with PROFESSOR Ayers
along with serveral chicago REPUBLICANS
and that Obama was 8 when Ayers committed his crimes
That is what he said, but it is fact that he is quite friendly with Bill Ayers.
