Ryan William is here!!! Some pics and a quick birth story..
My little boy arrived on July 24 at 5:53 pm after a scheduled induction. He was 8lb, 4oz and 21 inches.
My labor was fantastic...gel was inserted at 8:30 am, helped me start contracting stronger and stronger and dilating a bit. I labored without an epidural until 4:30pm at which point I pretty much said "OK I'M READY FOR THAT EPI!!". They broke my water at 4:50, went from 4cm to 8cm in about 10 minutes, lol. By 5:40 I was completely dilated and effaced and I could feel pressure/pain of his head coming down..it was very odd actually because I felt NOTHING the first time around with Johnny-no pressure at all. This time around I didn't feel any contractions once the epidural was in place but I did feel all the sensation in the vaginal area. At 5:53 after a few minutes of pushing he was out and every single ounce of pain was gone-very surreal feeling and not nearly as bad as I imagined...
I was up and walking around 1/2 hour after giving birth and my recovery has been fabulous!! I still can't believe I have these two gorgeous boys and how lucky we are. Big brother has adjusted beautifully and gets a kick out of Ryan. I love seeing them together.

And yes, Johnny tried to offer him a french fry at which we replied "maybe in a year". Lol!

i can't wait to meet ryan!!!  i didn't even know his middle name because when i asked you, you didn't know yet!  i love how ryan william sounds!
i'm so glad your labor was so easy--hope my second is the same way!
ps... i have a nice big gift here for johnny that DS is dying to get his hands on so you need to come to NY soon so i can get it out of my house!
