I am working about 2-3 blocks from there right now.
I decided to take the train to the bar instead of the cab since there was no way a cab was going to be able to cross rock center.

Probably real bad. My main route is to get from the east side to broadway by taking 49th street straight through. But they probably have 49th closed by rock... so the detoured traffic would be nuts.
Plus today is gridlock alert. That means if a cop catches you sitting in an intersection and the light turns red... they can give you a moving voilation ticket (like a speeding ticket). Thats a good 2-3 points on your licence.

Trust me Chris... you are SMART not to bring the girls in .. its a MESS around there, people start trying to get a good spot early in the morning  It was a nightmare just trying to cross town to get to Grand Central
ANyhow, there is my Scrooge imitation for the night 
(I will pass by the tree everyday on my way to work so NOPE, I ain't watchin ...  )
