Question about threads being moved...
Really quick..
I'm not sure who moves threads, but I have a question for you...
Why is it that my Zone thread got moved to Diet and Fitness and Wedding related threads don't get moved to LIW?
I totally understand posting celebrity pics in the celebrity section, and fashion threads in the fashion section, but I put my thread in NFR for a reason.
I personally don't frequent the Diet and Fitness board very often, yet I was curious to know if anyone was on the Zone. So knowing NFR got a lot of traffic, I posted it there. Who's to say everyone on the Zone Diet visits the Diet & Fitness section?
Just curious.. THANKS

I think that is the point. To get more traffic to the board.
Advertising is used for traffic.. not a thread no one will no is there...

I don't think so.
I would doubt that they are linked together that they could move posts from one site to another. That would mean that everyone that has a user on one site would have the same user on the other site.

I understand. I agree that this is not a wedding planning site, but LIW has changed dramatically - or at least it has since I used it to plan. Many times fights break out over the dumbest things & no one can get an honest opinion. I think a lot of the posters here feel more comfortable asking us questions since most of us are BTDT brides.
I was on LIW not too long ago helping my sister plan her wedding & I gave an opinion on something as a BTDT bride & GOT FLAMED. I was called cheap, tacky, and unrealistic about my wedding. Um, if it happened how unrealistic was I? It was not pretty so I think alot of the BTDT brides have left.

i just went and read your thread on Diet and Fitness - honestly, i don't think it should have been moved at all - "Zone Chefs" isn't really about dieting, or is it?  i thought it was meal plans (i guess because the word 'Diet' is in the title, the little thread fairy was quick with her wand... )
in any event, instead of posting a thread about why it got moved, i think you would have just been better off doing a XPost back here on NFR - that way you'll cover both bases

Wedding post example aside - I think that your thread got moved because your thread fit directly into the subject matter of another board. You asked about a diet. There is a diet board. I would think that anyone that is on a diet, or that would like to discuss diets, would goto the diet board because that is where all of the diet related information and support is.
Just my opinion...

It seems to me that almost everything gets moved. Make-up & facial questions get moved to fashion, Celeb stuff gets moved to the celeb boards. Things like "Check out my new bedding" gets moved to home. I think it is all around.

WELL LIF is not LIW. I don't goto LIW anymore. Don't like it.
NOW if there was a WEDDING BOARD ON LIF then all the wedding threads would get moved!

Actually, it started about the Zone Chef meal plan... then it got into how much money you spend a month on food.. so all in all, I think I shoudl be in both sections like Mrs Erod mentions above.. GOOD CALL!

I think posts that have a clear designation of a subject, and there is a separate board for that subject, get moved to that board.
