PT work while kids in school
I've been a sahm since my DD was born and she's in K now. I would like to do some part time work while she is in school. I keep checking our districts' site for employment, craigslist, pennysaver, etc... But I'm not really finding anything. I don't want to do data entry/receptionist or retail. Any ideas? Where do you work part time?

PT work while kids in school
Call the Food services department in your district. Usually its run by a different company (like Whitsons). You may not get something in your child's school, but in a nearby school. Hours are good, you're off when your child is, and the pay is not bad usually.

PT work while kids in school
I don't work, but many people I know work in our children's schools as substitute aides. The positions are not listed on the website though. I would call your district directly.

I am in East Meadow school. I work 2 1/2 hrs a day in lunch room as an aide. I know my school needs to hire someone. If interested PM me.
My kids are also in K & I work 11:10 to 1:40
