Post your first post on Pregnancy
I just had a nice walk down memory lane, I didn't realize I was so LATE in hopping on the PG board (though I was posting a bit more on LIW at the time since I was so newly married)!!
Post yours if you're bored and wanna play. Here's mine:
There's a new zygote in town... Posted by colette
GOOD morning ladies!!! I'm (finally) jumping into the PG board, a bit late... I've lurked for a while and think its time to join the club!! I think I know a few of you from LIW (Hi Deanna! Hi Gabi!) but by way of introduction:
<--- Name's Colette -- DH and I just got married on 11/24/07 and that 'flu' I had after the honeymoon wasn't the flu at all apparently!!
I'm 22 weeks now with , our first, and I'm an OLD mommy to be (40!) but so far I'm having a great time being PG!!
I've learned a LOT just by lurking here, so I'm looking forward to sharing the next few months with all of you - oh and so far I think I've had every type of screening/diagnostic test in existence (all good results!) so hopefully I can contribute some info to anyone who might have questions about those!!
I wanted to mention that I know quite a few PG board ladies are going through some tough times right now; I'm praying for every one of you and your families

Re: Post your first post on Pregnancy
Under my alias "pitterpatter" "After a faint line Saturday afternoon, a negative Sunday morning, faint line Sunday afternoon, a negative this morning and a PREGNANT on the digital this afternoon, I am going to say that I am actually pregnant, but very early. Good for you if you actually followed that!
I had blood taken by my OBGYN this afternoon and will have the results tomorrow morning.
As of right now, I feel like I have the stomach flu - crampy belly with the feeling that I might hurl at any given moment. If I'm feeling this crummy at this early in the game, how much worse is it going to get?
My tentative due date is September 16
I am SO excited to be here after a long 6 months of TTC! " ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Under my real name "Hello!
I've been posting under PitterPatter since I got my BFP on January 3rd.
I'm 12 weeks today and still can't believe this is for real.
We had been trying since June/July with no results until December.
I'm not sure how many of you know, but DH and I were in a terrible car accident right before Thanksgiving. I sustained blunt force trauma to my abdomen and pelvis - the doctors said that had I been pregnant, no matter how far along, I would have most likely lost it. I got pregnant the month after the accident. It really makes me believe in the whole "everything happens (or doesn't) for a reason" theory.
I'm so excited to be here under my "real" name! "
I miss being pregnant!

Post Subject: Hear ye! Hear ye! I have an announcement to make!
I am pregnant!
Hello ladies! I am 10 weeks pregnant today and I am finally ready to start posting out in the open on this board! I can’t believe I am actually posting this! I got my BFP on Monday, February 18, 2008. I was in complete and utter shock- we didn’t think that the IUI worked. Apparently, baby Pornstar had other ideas and wanted to become part of our family. My EDD is 10/30/08. I am so excited to finally be here and hope that I can hang out here for the next few months.

Re: Post your first post on Pregnancy
My first post... eta, under my alias, Aquarius on 5/23/08
I am not *officially* here yet...So, for those who don't venture over to TTC, I am a regular poster in hiding. I got my BFP on Wednesday, and had a blood test yesterday-- so far so good, but I am still a little nervous as I have had problems in the past. I am still waiting for a second blood test, to be done Tuesday, to make sure that all is good, then I will officially join you girls. But, I have a question... Now what?? Besides of course the obvious. Anything special I should be doing, or avoiding? Or is it too early to really worry about that and just wait for next steps from my doctor? Chat Icon
Then my first *official post* on 5/27/08 Ok, I am coming to join you! So, I am a regular poster in hiding from here and LIW. I have been on the TTC board for a while, and after some ups and downs-- I can't believe I am officially posting on Pregnancy! I just got the call from my RE regarding my beta levels today. My hcg is up to 562 (from 30 on Thursday!!). I was so not expecting it to be so high-- I hope there are not two in there!! I am only 14DPO today. I have to go back on Thursday for another blood test-- they want to get me to 1000 before they stop with the blood tests, and switch to ultrasounds. Assuming I hit 1000 on Thursday, I will have an ultrasound in two weeks. According to when I O'd, the due date calculators are telling me my EDD is 2/2-- hence my "in hiding" screen name. I can't believe I am really pregnant! Holy sh!t!!!

Re: Post your first post on Pregnancy
1/27/09 "Big News!!"
Hi guys! DH and I found out on December 4th that we are expecting our first baby! I am about 11 and 1/2 weeks and our due date is August 16th!
I wanted to wait until we had our first u/s to post here, which we had on Thursday at around 11 weeks. I've been very nauseous and tired during this first trimester and although that's getting better, the hunger is still unreal. But as long as the baby is healthy I don't care what he/she makes me feel like.
Below is the latest sono pic of little camachito, which was at around 11 weeks (measured 11 weeks but I was about 10 1/2 weeks at the sono - dr. isn't changing my due date though).
I'll be creating an album soon, i've been taking belly pics and am already showing a bit!

I always post where I don't belong!! 7/26/06, not even pregnant yet (though would be in 2 weeks!)
When and if we have a son, we will likely have a III and my DH"s name is Christopher Michael.
DH really likes Timothy Patrick for some reason. I love, love, love the name Joseph.
My friend has a son named Mitchell.

Re: Post your first post on Pregnancy
My *cautiously optimistic* introduction...
I am a recent graduate of the IF board. I am very nervous to be over here, but incredibly excited as well.
For those who don't know me, I have been TTC for 3 years now, and had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in March of '07. I was not able to get pregnant again. I finally started seeing an RE because my OB was a dimwit who didn't know how to handle my case. I had one cancelled clomid/IUI cycle, one failed injectible IUI cycle which left a ton of residual cysts, and I am currently 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant after my first IVF cycle.
So far I don't really have any symptoms. My boobs are a little sore to the touch, i'm a little tired, but not exhausted, and I have been craving red meat. (I don't know why).
My first beta at 16DPO/13dp3dt was yesterday, and it came back at 317. I don't have another beta until next Monday, and my first sono will be the monday after that.
I really am so happy to be here, and hope I can stay here for the next 36 weeks!

Re: Post your first post on Pregnancy
under my FAKE name
Hello, Im going to be joining you all here. I am a very regular poster in hiding for the time being and I have a few questions. So basically what CAN'T I do? And can I have diet coke? I know stupid questions but I just dont know. I have stalked this board and read so much that I forgot it all. TIA.
under my real name
am "mybigfakename" I was a bit scared to fully say I was pregnant. I went to the doctor last night and knock on wood, things are groovy with the jalapeno. I am just 6 weeks 2days, and some morning sickness is just coming to visit me.
This has been a long walk TTC almost 2 years and the first month I didn't count, POAS temp anything it happened. We went to NC ot look for a place to live and BOOM. It was a complete shock. Im still not sure it has set in 100% with either one of us. DH has now become a worry wart, and this even got him to take out the garbage. Like I said the yesterday I never knew it would be such a turnon . Well thats my story. Thanks for letting me share.

Well I actually started posting in July of 07, 5 months before I got pregnant:
Posted by headoverheels
am new at this so bear with me
why do most people/doctors say to wait to TTC until you get your actual period after being off BC? what would happen if you got PG right after going off BC? is that bad?
My first "intro" post was:

i can't really formally introduce myself just yet b/c i might have some LIW lurkers but i just wanted to say hi! i am looking forward to bombarding you all with all my PG-related questions
happy and healthy 9 months to all!!
My first preggo post with this pregnancy was:

X-Post from TTC
i will be a 2 under 2 mommy if all goes well, if you have sticky dust to spare that would be appreciated

Re: Post your first post on Pregnancy
So my first post on pregnancy was about 2 years before I got pregnant and it was a quote of BabyAvocado's sonogram with her first DS! I've been on here forever.
Posted by eroxgirl
Posted by BabyAvocado
1st one is at 8 wks
2nd is at 14 wks
3rd is at 20 wks
am I imagining things or do I see boy parts in his 14 wk sono?
I was NOT imagining things!
This was my first post announcing my pregnancy with DD (I already had 4 pages of posts on the pregnancy board by then - I love that board!!)
Joining this Board!
It's not like I haven't always posted on here, but now I'll be a regular!
I thought I'd spend some time on the TTC board and finally learn what all those abbreviations stand for but apparently DH and I skipped that step because I'm pregnant!! I'm about 8 weeks and due at the end of January. I can't wait for my next doctor appointment -- that will be my first sonogram and we'll finally get to see the baby. I've never been so excited and terrified in my whole life!

Sorry for the pseudo-name, but I dont want anyone to know about my pregnancy. At least not until I see a heartbeat.
I have been getting BFP since I was about 9DPO. The day AF was due I called my Dr, who sent over a script to Quest for bloodwork. That was Monday afteroon around 2pm, on Tuesday they called me at 930am to tell me my Estradiol was 221, progesterone was 20 and HCG was 352. I was told to go back to Quest today for follow-up I had my blood drawn at 8:00am. My results today are Estridol 329, Progesterone 19.4 and HCG 707.6.
Now my HCG # is doubling, but should I be concerned about the progesterone? The nurse said she would talk to the Dr to see about supplements. Has this happend to anyone?
Oh to add, I'm not a first time mom, I do have 1 DC
Thanks ladies

This was mine:
I guess I announced on IF
Well we saw two sacs. One that is perfect and textbook according to the Dr. She said I should see the HB next week. There is also another sac she may have seen a yolk sac but couldn't commit but it was definitely smaller. She said we will just have to wait and see.
The smaller sac is now my healthy Ronan

Hi, I'd like to introduce myself!
I am 12w3d (I mostly lurk I am very shy to post-hopefully I will get over this) with my first pregnancy-due date is 10/4 delivering at NSUH-Manhasset. MD gave an early guess at the ultrascreen and said baby looks like a boy but I won't be buying anything just yet...
I am very happy to join you girls and I've already learned so much from reading! Thanks!
