Post your favorite Long Island wine
we want to get a few bottles of local LI wine for when we go to see his family OOS for Christmas.
I have no idea which ones to get and could use everyone's opinions.
doesn't matter if it's red or white - his family drinks everything!

laurel lake riesling. i love sweeter wines and this one is really good!! i also loooove the red wines (any kind) by bedell cellars.

I really love Macari's early wine - its a chardonnay and goes down very smooth.
DH loves the cabernet sauvignon from Laurel Lake Vineyards.
I have a reisling from Peconic Bay that is delicious.
And the old standby is Pindar summer blush.

i think that might be because reislings are sweeter than normal white wines - easier to have a few glasses

Recently went to a tasing at Pindar, these were my faves
Pindar Summer Blush - there's some strawberry in it, yum!

We love red wines from Wolffer Estates Vineyard - the best wines on LI...highly recommend them..

hmm I am very sad because my favorite is not produced anymore (Avalon ) but I like Lighthouse wine frommm... aakkk.. where is it from... oh yeah Palmar (I just looked it up)
