thank goodness he was OK from the vitamins and thank goodness they were able to see his other problem.
please don't blame yourself- how would you know- I would've thought the same thing as long as he ate and went daily he'd be fine!

aww the poor thing.. Im glad hes okay overall.. Dont be hard on yourself about the consipation.. you said he goes everyday so me personally wouldnt have thought there was a problem either if my child was going routinely.. how would you know?? Thats like saying to the doc.. well you check him at his appointments and if this was going on for a year how come he didnt know? Its no ones fault and now Andrew will be treated and he will feel much better.

Well thank God it was nothing more serious. And like you said, it was almost a goo dthing he got to your vitamins, so you could find out about a bigger problem. And now you can treat the constipation and move forward.

We are all so happy that everything is ok. When Michael brought MIL home he saw your truck but he did not want to ring the bell in case Andrew was resting. We were all so worried about Andrew & you.

OMG! I just saw this now. I am so sorry you and your little one are going through this. It is good that you found the constipation issue and are getting him treatment. he must have been SO uncomfortable.

Thank God he's ok! I guess what happened was a blessing in disguise cuz it allowed them to catch a problem you didn't know about. Don't feel about it Allison, you didn't know. Since he goes on an everyday basis you thought nothing was wrong. I would have thought the same. The main thing is that he is ok and  to Andrew for being such a good trooper at the ER...

As everyone said, I guess it was a blessing in disguise that you had to rush him to the ER so that you discovered this other issue..

Glad everything worked out ok. Yes, things happen for a reason. I was just like your son when I was little. I was also brought to the ER but I had terrible stomach pains. They found that I too was FOS up to my ribs. They did the enema. Then my mom had to put mineral oil in orange juice every morning. He will be fine. Don't worry. Talk to your doctor about possibly putting him on something that won't make him so crampy. Good luck.

i'm so glad he's ok and that is such good news that they were able to detect the bowel problem! that seems more than just luck you know.
i'm actually going to ask my sons gi about the same issue now b/c he also eats sooo little and throws up randomly.
