The people who are against the vaccine are so outspoken but those in favor of it are more quiet.
I have thought about why.
My thoughts are that those in favor of protecting themselves from a deadly virus are clearly of a higher intelligence and do not feel the need to fight with people who are too simple to make the smart choice for themselves.
Those who received the vaccine realize that they are safe. Yes, they can get the virus but the odds are in their favor that they will survive.
Anti vaxxers who choose to bargain with their lives as a tribute to some political affiliation or desire to protect their freedoms are well within their rights to do so.
Kids are not at risk ( for the most part). I do not believe kids should get the vaccine UNLESS the parents would like to.
Adults, it is literal Russian roulette, if you are over 35 and you choose not to get it you are taking your life in your hands.
I find it shocking but I have no opinion on it because it's up to each of us to protect our lives.

So you are basically profiling everyone who is unvaccinated into one group.
You are looking at this as black and white only and not even interested in finding out why some people are not vaccinated. They are ALL just stupid to you. What a very uneducated, immature way to look at this, IMHO.
I guess you will be calling a lot of people stupid soon when they refuse anymore shots and their vaccine is no longer working.

Well in my real life I don’t see anyone arguing or debating about the vaccine. I also see smart people stating their opinions like adults. Using their words and having real conversations. That can be said about both sides.
Insinuating that people who don’t want this vaccine are not smart or calling them Anti-Vaxers is what’s wrong with the pro side. You’re part of the problem.

No, it's the self centeredness and the idea that one's self matters so much more then everyone else that it's okay to break the law.
Wanna go see the Christmas Show but feel it's your right not to get vaccinated but this same persona is okay with breaking the law to obtain a fake vaccine card and fraudulently agree to the terms of service to buy that ticket. All because they are so much more important then everyone else in that theater. That is what I have a problem with.
Don't want to get the vaccine - that is fine. Don't. But your choices have consequence and if you don't like those consequences - you don't have a right to break the law or commit fraud because of the consequence you don't like.

Actually in real life it's the opposite. It's the pro-vaccine people that have the loudest voices. The ones pushing the mandates that don't work, the ones screaming from the roof tops "I won't allow unvaccinated people in my home, for Thanksgiving, Christmas etc." The ones blaming the unvaccinated people for the pandemic when the more people are vaccinated the higher the case numbers are... I hardly know who is NOT vaccinated these days because they keep it to themselves. I've been very surprised to find out some family and friends are not vaccinated because they never said a word. The vaccinated people seem to feel THEY need to keep pontificating because the vaccine's effectiveness CLEARLY is not speaking for itself!
Intelligent people know that there are pros and cons to both sides of this argument. None of the COVID vaccines are without risk. There are many potential complications and side effects from these vaccines that are more severe than any other vaccine before. This is FACT. So just as you say NOT getting the vaccine is Russian Roullette, so is GETTING the vaccine. You have no idea now or in the future whether YOU or your child will be the one to get a blood clot, myocarditis or GBS. These are just three of the potential risk factors of the vaccine. There are people who are very sick from the vaccine and those who have even died. Is it rare? Absolutely. But so is a teenager or healthy young adult dying from COVID. I am not saying that COVID does not have risks as well. Of course it does and there is very much unknown there as well. There are pros and cons to each especially when the vaccine doesn't work for everyone, doesn't prevent you from getting or spreading COVID and people who are vaccinated are getting very sick and even dying. NOT getting the vaccine doesn't make you less intelligent. Your post and the reasoning behind it is actually comical to me.

Omicron - just in time for the holidays
After much consideration and multiple conversations with my doctor, my pediatrician and family members in the medical field, we have decided to vaccinate our children, they range in age from 5-10 years old. We are taking them over Christmas break.
That being said, a mandate for this age group is just plain silly. One can only hope the incoming mayor reverses it, but I am not so sure. The good thing is, Hochul seems to be against mandates. I do not think she is as dictator like as I originally thought, which is a good thing.
Finally, people on both sides really need to take a step back and acknowledge that their decision isn't necessarily the right one because there is no right decision here. I am tired of hearing people say the vaccine has been proven safe so therefore there are zero risks. For the most part, yes it is safe. It does lessen illness severity, even though it does not stop the spread. But it is not 100%, it does not come without risks, and it is everyone's right to decide what is best for them.
On the flip side, I am tired of people not realizing that COVID is, in fact, a serious virus. I don't care how many people you know who had the sniffles and nothing else. Yes, most people do not die. But many survivors are still feeling the effects of this virus months later.
EITHER CHOICE is playing Russian Roulette. It all comes down to which game you are more comfortable playing. Either side will have risks, either side may have devestating consequences. So let's stop pretending that there is only one right answer here, one way to do things. That is not the case.

It's very easy to get a fake card and trust me when I tell you, these restaurants aren't looking too closely- as long as the name on the card matches your ID you're in. They aren't in business to be the vaccine police. But that's not even the point...
It's not safe anymore with people getting stabbed, pushed on subway tracks, sucker punched.

All our friends in the NYPD warn us to just stay away for now as it's not safe.
And that's sad because 2 short years ago I felt 100% even alone at night.
Way to go in destroying the best city in the country in less than 2 years.

I can get a fake card today if i wanted to. A friend just went to radio city with a fake one. Its all bull and i'm hoping it doesn't spill over into LI.
If people are utilizing fake cards to access public events of course the NYC vaccine mandates are not going to work and there will be outbreaks. It's not really proof that the vaccine mandates don't work as people are breaking them.
Maybe they would work but maybe they wouldn't work.
Fake vaccine cards is a criminal offense; a federal one at that.
I don't agree with the mandates but if people are going to willfully break rules so they can do to a show - no - nothing of this world will ever get better since only those people and what they want count.
Here's a scoop- mandates or not, vaccinated people can still spread Covid to unvaccinated people.
That has been proven.
So it's not the fake vaccine cards that are making the mandates not work.

The vaccine has been shown to reduce severe illness and death though.
And, if people followed the mandates...it would just be vaccinated people at the show.
I don't agree with the mandates but that doesn't mean I should be able to break the law to do something that I want to do - like see the Christmas show.
So, if someone doesn't believe in something = they should just do what they want and to h$ll with everyone else?
Why not just get in the car after a few drinks when I live just down the block. The likelihood that I could hurt someone else is slim. Or why not get fake inspection stickers for my car? It's easier and cheaper then getting a sticker.

Yep, dishonest and criminal is okay if it's going against something you don't agree with. Great example to set right?

That can't fully be proven though. You don't know exactly how any illness or virus will affect you. The people who have gotten covid vaccinated might have less symptoms than others but that doesn't necessarily mean if they were unvaccinated it would have been worse.

Look at those in hospitals and those that are dying.
Look at how many more times it's likely to die from CoVid being unvaccinated to that of those that are. Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine recipients had a mortality rate of 4.2 deaths per 1,000 vaccinated people per year after first dose, and 3.5 deaths after second dose.
The unvaccinated comparison group had a mortality rate of 11.1 deaths per 1,000 people per year.
Moderna COVID-19 vaccine recipients had 3.7 deaths per 1,000 people per year after the first dose, and 3.4 deaths after the second dose.
The unvaccinated comparison group had a mortality rate of 11.1 deaths per 1,000 people per year.
Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine recipients had 8.4 deaths per 1,000 people per year.
