Having a tough time getting into the holidays!
Does anyone else find it really difficullt to get into the holidays this year. I lost my older brother 14 years ago (he was only 21 years old). I know each year i have a tough time with this but for some reason this year I am feeling it even more. Crazy how no matter how many years pass the pain stays with you!

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I lost both of my parents 21 years ago and the pain never goes away. Time just makes it easier to cope with.

This is the first Christmas without my Dad and I am not into it at all. We cut out a lot of people this year and focusing on the kids.

This is my First Christmas without my Gram and My Mom!
I can't get into it at all.
We are doing it for the kids.
Just lost mom last week and Gram last month. Way too hard.
I can't even listen to the Christmas music ( I used to leave it on ALL the time)...I honestly can't wait for the holidays to be over. I hope thats not selfish of me, but, its just way too hard.

It's been 10 years since my dad passed but Christmas is really the hardest times memory wise for me. He loved the gatherings etc.
He loved playing Christmas songs on the piano. The first Christmas after he passed at the end of Oct. that year I burst out in tears on Christmas Day when one of his favorite songs came on the radio.
