When numbers do not go down because vaccinated people are still infecting each other, who will be blamed then?
People may applaud this but to think this government control ends at vaccines is ignorant and terrifying.
Yup this is terrifying...how some cannot see it is beyond me.
NYC businesses have already suffered so much. The city has gone to shit and this will just make it worse. I hope these business fight back.

People get sick regardless, this comment doesn't make a lot of sense. Health data shows being vaccinated means it is FAR less likely you will even get sick from this.
And in the end it's either do this, or they shut down indoor dining in the winter and destroy small businesses once again. As a PP said over 70% of NYC is vaccinated. It will be nice to enjoy things knowing I am surrounded by other vaccinated individuals. If this bothers you, get vaccinated.

It is even bothering vaccinated people so if you think it is just the vaccinated that are speaking out, you are very wrong.

I have a question- How many of you Live or Work in NYC right now? How many of you are in NYC regularly right now?
Not to start the "if you don't live here you don't have a right to comment about this" argument. BUT
I do live in NYC. Things are different here. Our restaurants are smaller, our gyms are too. More people living in smaller areas, closer together. Yes, there are lots of places in NYC where people aren't getting vaccinated, and maybe this will be the push they need.
I don't necessarily agree with this mandate, but I understand why he's doing it.

I never doubted vaccines would be required. But I still don’t believe in conspicary theories half of them don’t make sense.
Do you know how many people would need to be in on some thing to be a conspiracy. We are constantly getting new people in government.
Do i think this is absolutely ridiculous yes! Did I think it wouldn’t happen nope it’s been obvious this whole time.
The government has always controlled us what else does everyone think is going to happen?? I get so confused By this train of thinking we’ve always had rules/laws that have be obeyed that’s government control right there.

1 in 3 covid cases were from people in Texas and Florida the other day. I wouldn’t want those people hanging around visiting NYC spreading it, not sorry. I think NYC is doing the right thing, especially as a huge hub. People have had plenty of time to get vaccinated. They aren’t and they are hanging around without masks. Look at Louisiana. They have a federal response team in place now.

When was it stated that 80% of the vaccinated people actually got sick? Maybe you are misinterpreting that 80% of the people that got INFECTED are vaccinated. Basic math tells you that the more vaccinated people there are, the higher of a percentage that vaccinated people can get Covid. That is a no-brainer.
The unvaccinated are making the vaccinated more sick because the numbers don't lie. If you are vaccinated you have an approximate 10% chance of getting sick. Every time you roll that dice you have a chance of getting sick and thankfully when you are vaccinated the probability is low, but NOT impossible.
It's the unvaccinated people that are causing the vaccinated to roll the dice more than they should.
