Who paid for your wedding band?
your dh, you and dh, or you
secondly his is x mine is 7times x. I feel bad making him pay that. does it seem reasonable if i only ask for half of it and ill pay the other half and his as well.
no we dont have our money "together" and wont. only for house and future family related purchases
i havent told him about the price yet. I went out looking today. I think he assumes its only going to be around 300 since thats how much his sil's was

He paid for both our rings - his was $100 and mine was $3200.
I didn't feel bad since he got off easy by using my grandmothers ring for my engagement ring

DH paid for mine and I paid for his. Mine cost a lot more than his but he wanted me to have something that matched my e-ring.

Mine was $3500, his was $200 (we both knew it would be a waste to spend any significant money on his b/c he wouldn't be wearing his ring often, only on special occasions.)

I paid for Jake's it was about 1/3 of what mine cost- he paid for mine
mine was ALOT- but a good deal for what it is- and I wear it every day
he never wears his and his was very expensive for a mens ring

DH got 2 rings - Dress ring & work ring. We later had to go back & get me a work ring.

IMO, you are now equals (once your married) and not seperate paying for half of stuff. I know people have there systems (and i respect that 100%) but to consider mines and yours is not yours and mine...whats the point of being together if you still treat each other as seperates?

Dh's was about $100 and mine was around 3K. We had our money together at that point (for the wedding and the house) so it really wasn't who paid for what - we just paid it out of the funds.

Rob and I got married last month - but we have lived together for 6 years. We also have 2 children and a mortgage together... there is no such thing as 'his money' and 'my money'! So we both paid for it.
I gotta say 3500 is A LOT of money. If you and he have the cash I say more power to you! But if you don't have the money on hand, I would advise maybe going for a less expensive band and trading up when you have more cash at the ready. Just a suggestion!
