looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?

I always thought I wanted a strapless ballgown.

Saturday, i tried on many dresses and they were ok. Then i tried on this one. I think I'm in love. But I'm scared i might regret my choice for not going tradtional.

Any opinions, advice?

that dress looks pretty traditional to me!

I loved my dress-- and at first I ordered a dress because it was a little cheaper and I came home crying and called to cancel it the next day... All I can say is go with your heart/gut.

I had a very simple wedding gown- and I wish I went with something more like what you posted

I love that dress- and with your shape- holy Sh$%! watch out- that will hit you in all the right places!

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?

That gown is the exact style of gown i am going to get.

I do agree its not ur traditional A-line, or ball gown type of dress.

But i want my dress to be form fitting, and really show off my curves. I want everyone to be like WOW she looks great!

If you tried that dress on i say go for it!

If I could do it over again, I would get a different dress. It was beautiful but I spent too much on it and in the end do not think it was really me.

I think the dress you posted is gorgeous and would look amazing on you!! Keep that one in the back of your mind and try some more on then go back to it and see if you feel the same way about it.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?

I guess I looked exactly how I pictured I would: traditional (but then again not many wear tulle anymore) bride, with a ballerina feel and a huge veil. Looking back, I wish I had maybe gone with something straight and a low bun....a look I find very classy.

But that gown is beautiful. Just make sure you can dance/move in it!

Nope..I LOVED my dress.

I don't think it matters if it's not "traditional", does it? If you love it, then it was meant for you!

Chat Icon That dress is gorgeous!

I dont regret my choice one bit. Of course after I bought it I second guessed myself but I am glad I went with my gut. It was the perfect price and perfect style for me.

As a side note, there might be a style that you are totally against but it may look good on you. In turn you might have your heart set on a certain look and then it ends up not looking right. Be open minded, take your time and have fun!

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?

I loved my gown, but then saw something even better, 30 days before the wedding.

We actually considered it for an insane moment. But I stuck with the original dress.

If I had to do it all over again? I'd get the other dress. But I would change nothing else.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?

Originally- I wanted a very simple dress. Then I saw a Reem Acra and fell in love with the big poof and detailing. I fell in love with this dress and went to order it:

The day I went to order it, I tried on this one- and it was my wedding gown.

I loved it! I was so torn, but I still remember the second thing DH told me after he saw me on our wedding day- "You weren't sure about THAT dress? You look amazing." Chat Icon

ETA: No regrets!!

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?

No regrets about my dress, just how much it cost.

All along I said I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a dress that I'd wear only for a few hours. Well I got all caught up in finding "the dress" that I disregarded the cost. (Sorry Mom).

First, love the dress you have pictured. Second, that's a pretty traditional dress. Third, if you love it and are comfortable in it, go for it.

I have zero regrets...

I loved my dress, but it was the 2nd one I tried on, and didn't try many others on. I wish I had looked around a little more. But I did absolutely love my dress.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?

I don't regret my choice. I loved my dress and the price. I told myself I would not spend lots of money on something I would wear once. I found an afred angelo I fell in love with. I priced around and got it for $325 off of netbride.com

My dress is still sitting in my closet..i never got it dry cleaned. I completely forgot to have my mom bring it and I didn't lug it back to florida with me.
