 Yes. This is the scientific community showing vigilance, caution, and humility. This community and their educated recommendations are still our best bet--individually and as a society.

J&J has only been out for 2 months. BCP a lot longer.

Again was totally kidding, however I have never been on BCPs so my chance of a blood clot from that is 0.

I was thinking 1 in 5 hospitalized cases of covid had blood clots? Still doesn't make sense. but yeah no way 1/5 covid cases are hospitalized.
I have a close friend that is an ER nurse in the Northwell hospitals and she told me months ago that they have seen increases in blood clots in Covid patients. I have a history of them so I’ve always been concern about any hormone related medicine and thinks like long haul flights. I take thinners any time I fly long distances to prevent them. So Covid and J&J/AZ vaccines are concerning but I still got my Pfizer shot. I just am fully aware of the signs and take them very seriously

I'm surprised they would stop the JnJ vaccine if it is 6 out of 7 million. (compared to BCPs for example)
Wouldn't by law of averages 6 people out of 7 million would get blood clots just by daily life?

It's a specific, particularly rare blood clotting disorder so it is unusual and likely linked to the vaccine.

Ugh, I know I’ll regret this but.....
As early as last April ERs were correlating blood clots to COVID. Your risk of getting COVID and subsequently getting a blood clot are fairly high. I don’t know the statistics but I can confidently say your odds are way more than 6 in 7 million.

I doubt is only 6 people being affected. Usually these reported cases are a part of a much larger number and those unfortunately don’t get reported for whatever reason (patient/doctor doesn’t know about the reporting system, or how to use it, etc) The interesting thing to me is that just by taking the vaers information, there are way more people that have experienced severe adverse reactions from the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, yet the government is doing nothing about those but all of a sudden they’re pulling the J&J vaccine because of “6” people out of 7 million?!? They suddenly care about vaccine injury?!?

As an actual person who follows raw data correctly and believes in #s. I will say just like I thought the mortality rate is low in Covid deaths when you do the actual calculation across the population, I also feel the same for the J&J vaccine. I don’t pick and choose to fit my cause.
I do think it was a good call to pause the distribution to see if they can determine if this is actually caused by the vaccine and maybe it’s something simple as certain people can’t get this vaccine because they will get blood clots. Better to rule it out and pause now then to wait for this to become tragic.

I think it was a good call as well. I wish they’d do the same with the mRNA vaccines considering a much higher number of people have been experiencing severe adverse reactions and even death instead of just labeling it as a “coincidence”. At the very least they should advise people on the risks, and unknowns about these vaccines so the person can make a fully informed decision after analyzing all the pros, cons, and unknowns.

Thousands upon thousands of reports, severe injuries included, but they all just seem to be a big coincidence, or they close the case without ever finding an actual ‘cause’, but never the vaccine. . All these people that never had any indication of health problems, all of a sudden are experiencing these issues out of no where...yeah, it must be their defective and imperfect bodies suddenly not working properly but never the vaccine. Stupid bodies!

He provided me with an article. If you are so sure people are dropping dead left and right over these vaccines, please do the same. I have looked and have found NOTHING. I won't accuse you of being wrong, I just don't take someone's "thousands upon thousands" as fact if they can't back it up.
You don't believe in ANY vaccines. Even ones FDA approved and in use for decades. So please understand why I don't take what you say as fact unless you have the research to back it up.
I also need to ask, what is your solution then? Open everything and stop masks and allow healthcare workers and hospitals to become overwhelmed again? That's a better idea to you?

Has that happened in TX whom decided to open everything and stop masks? Their numbers dropped. NY is still high up there with all the restrictions. FL walks around with no makes and their numbers are not any worse.

Florida has an average 7% positivity rate whereas New York's is at 3%. The number of hospitalizations in Florida per 100k people is also starting to rise. In New York the average number of people admitted to hospitals per day has steadily declined. Our daily number of new cases is also slowly declining whereas if you look at Florida they are slowly beginning to tick up.

Same for the healthy pregnant women that suddenly suffered the loss of their babies days after the vaccine, and it goes on and on. Thousands upon thousands of reports, severe injuries included, but they all just seem to be a big coincidence, or they close the case without ever finding an actual ‘cause’, but never the vaccine. . All these people that never had any indication of health problems, all of a sudden are experiencing these issues out of no where...yeah, it must be their defective and imperfect bodies suddenly not working properly but never the vaccine. Stupid bodies!
He provided me with an article. If you are so sure people are dropping dead left and right over these vaccines, please do the same. I have looked and have found NOTHING. I won't accuse you of being wrong, I just don't take someone's "thousands upon thousands" as fact if they can't back it up.
You don't believe in ANY vaccines. Even ones FDA approved and in use for decades. So please understand why I don't take what you say as fact unless you have the research to back it up.
I also need to ask, what is your solution then? Open everything and stop masks and allow healthcare workers and hospitals to become overwhelmed again? That's a better idea to you?
Has that happened in TX whom decided to open everything and stop masks? Their numbers dropped. NY is still high up there with all the restrictions. FL walks around with no makes and their numbers are not any worse.
Florida has an average 7% positivity rate whereas New York's is at 3%. The number of hospitalizations in Florida per 100k people is also starting to rise. In New York the average number of people admitted to hospitals per day has steadily declined. Our daily number of new cases is also slowly declining whereas if you look at Florida they are slowly beginning to tick up.
5 days ago they were under us but I do see 1 day over. Overall they haven’t been much worse than we have with all our restrictions. We should be much less than them or TX.
