Yeah, I don't get the whole, "not picking up" thing either. I mean, the dude walks his dog there every day- does he think it's going to magically disappear? Now its magically going to levitate to his front door.
Sometimes on walks Luna will trick me and have a second <ahem> movement. I have knocked on people's doors to ask for a plastic bag rather than leaving it behind......
Then again, I'm paranoid and always convinced "big brother is watching"........
But I digress........

yesterday i was in a bar. a dog friendly bar. there were 3 dogs there. i walked in, greeted the two that were near the entrance...
i then walked by and up to the bar to place my order. and the pug starts jumping on my leg like crazy.
instead of pulling the dog away he, the dogs owner, says "attack! attack!" and laughs.
to me THATS inconsiderate and annoying.

This is extremely inconsiderate but it seems like you saying that you have bigger things to worry about is a bit of a dig at people have have been discussing this topic as of late.
i mean what am i supposed to do? cause a fuss? thats just not even worth my time ya know.
I'd probably make a snide remark to the guy but then I'd forget about it.

Same here!
I am always worried about my dogs being blamed for other's poops that were not picked up. And I even once picked up my dog's poop with my GLOVE when I found out the bag I had taken fell out of my pocket on my walk. I would do anything other than leave it there. Now that is one law that I think people break very very often. I see poop at least once a day on my walk. Lately someone has been doing the weirdest thing...picking up the poop but leaving the bag of poop on someone else's lawn (3 of my neighbors have been left the pkg). Now how weird is that?

Yeah- but that means I would have to LEAVE the poop and "big brother watching" would assume I'm just like my nasty-*** neighbor letting my dog dump and dash.......

That is true, that's why I used my glove that time. I didn't want anyone to think I was leaving it and not coming back for it. Gross, I know.

I lived right by the Brooklyn Ale House for a long time. I went in a couple of times thinking it was a regular place I could get a beer and then one night there was this mangy dog running around, they had food out all over the place from a party earlier that day and the dog was going up and jumping on people and people were feeding it bits of food. I was pretty grossed out. I didn't go back. I mostly spent time at Union Pool or Daddy's after that.

Hope you never ate in the old chicken place on Union Ave (forget the name)...they had a huge mangy filthy dog that was all over the place and mice and rats like you wouldn't believe.. New owners have taken over it in the last few years and I have not seen a dog.

are you referring to the peanut shells on the floor? i think it gives the place character personally.

No, there were sternos of food out. I think there was a party earlier in the day. I never saw a dog in Union Pool.

Yes that was it, Union Picnic. It has new owners now. It was filthy as Union Picnic. ..

I was at the gate in Park Slope last week and there were a few people with dogs in there.
It didn't bother me, the dogs were very well behaved, but I kind of feel bad for the dogs because it was starting to get crowded and I was afraid these dogs would get stepped on or hurt somehow.
