I'm not a jealous person in the least. Not because I'm such a good person, mostly because I am so incredulous and I don't believe everything that people say or write. Just because someone *says* on a chat board that they have certain things, doesn't mean that they really do. And, if people show off material things, almost all the time they are trying to compensate for things that they don't have like emotional happiness.

envious at times, sure, but not in an evil way at all. I'm not a misery loves company type of gal..
See, my thing is, who are we to determine if people deserve it? I don't mean to single you out, I'm just quoting because you were honest enough to post how you really feel. I think a lot of people are only happy for those whom they feel "deserve good things" and not so happy for others whom they may feel like they're "lucky" or "not deserving". But if you think about it, who are we to make that decision or assumption? Shouldn't we just try to be happy for everyone, regardless of whether we think they're "lucky" or not. I don't know...I think I'm an idealist.

I have always tried to not be a jealous person. I'm the dork in the corner cheering for the stranger when good things happen to them. I was taught not to be jealous because we're all given what we can handle and what we're supposed to have. Some may have more material things but lack love, others may have love but lack material things and then there are others who are blessed with it all.
Because I believe in karma and I believe in "energy" I am always genuinely happy/sad/empathetic of others...no matter how different their situation is to my own.
And I am always happy, from my heart, when good things happen...because jealousy (like hate) is one of my least favorite things...and it's a trait I try not to have. It's because of this that I don't have many friends...because not everyone is like this and I don't like negativity but also because I'm kind of naive and I self-protect.
Anyway...if you're bothered by certain posts, why are you?
Is it a judgement on the person? Meaning, once you see the name you go  and shut down or is it a trivialization of their situation? Meaning, because you have this pre-conceived idea of the poster, you think their gripe isn't legit or doesn't warrant a vent.
Do I make any sense?

Thank you to those that responded!! 
I just wanted to add...we are ALL HUMAN!! There are so many more important things going on in the world, people going through personal trials/tragedies...we're here for the same reason. To get some sort of connection and vent, laugh, share. Unless it's a fake poster (whom we all pretty much HATE!!  ) we're all here daily...we share a lot (our ups and downs, gripes, silly random thoughts) and really should try our best to remember that although this is a chat board, we should treat people the same way we would if it was face to face.
Is that too hard?
To answer your question, nope not a jealous person at all.

I'm not a jealous person. On the rare occasion I do get jealous, it's usually over somebody I'm friendly with and I will say outright "Oh man, I'm so jealous." I'm never mean or get angry about it. As for getting jealous over somebody on a website like this, I just can't do it. I can't be jealous over somebody that I don't even know.
