In light of all the posts lately...why are you bothered, if at all?
I think the reason why so many are annoyed is complex...lack of understanding...a little bit of the green monster...too judgemental...

So...
I agree Sasha...so many people put out the advice to "ignore the post or the poster" yet don't heed their own words. Why can't we live and let live? Everyone is going to have their own style and their own perception of things (their life, opinions, ways of thinking, etc.). People get soo wrapped up in the chat board thing (I know I did once upon a time) that they think this is the real world. You may not agree with a poster or you may "feel" something regarding their posting style, etc. but you don't have to go out of your way to make them feel bad, etc. for the sake of kicks, proving a point, having the last word. Just move on with your day!!

Hmmm, I'll post first then.
I have always tried to not be a jealous person. I'm the dork in the corner cheering for the stranger when good things happen to them. I was taught not to be jealous because we're all given what we can handle and what we're supposed to have. Some may have more material things but lack love, others may have love but lack material things and then there are others who are blessed with it all.
Because I believe in karma and I believe in "energy" I am always genuinely happy/sad/empathetic of others...no matter how different their situation is to my own.
And I am always happy, from my heart, when good things happen...because jealousy (like hate) is one of my least favorite things...and it's a trait I try not to have. It's because of this that I don't have many friends...because not everyone is like this and I don't like negativity but also because I'm kind of naive and I self-protect.
Anyway...if you're bothered by certain posts, why are you?
Is it a judgement on the person? Meaning, once you see the name you go  and shut down or is it a trivialization of their situation? Meaning, because you have this pre-conceived idea of the poster, you think their gripe isn't legit or doesn't warrant a vent.
Do I make any sense?

Sure you do!! I know for myself that I am always geniunely happy for someone (even if it's someone I don't "care" for on the boards) and feel sympathy for them (even if I don't respond on their threads) because of the impact it might have not so much on the poster but maybe those in their lives. And I will definitely admit that there are some posters who I go to when I see them post not because of jealousy or something like that, but more what they have attempted to do to me personally

sometimes i feel it- sure im human....and i especially feel it when others are handed things they dont deserve or didnt work hard for
(this applies in the office more than in casual situations)
for my friends/family/people that i like in general- God no-they deserve to do well and i want to continue to see my friends do well.... espeiailly because they inspire me...

Thank you to those that responded!! 
I just wanted to add...we are ALL HUMAN!! There are so many more important things going on in the world, people going through personal trials/tragedies...we're here for the same reason. To get some sort of connection and vent, laugh, share. Unless it's a fake poster (whom we all pretty much HATE!!  ) we're all here daily...we share a lot (our ups and downs, gripes, silly random thoughts) and really should try our best to remember that although this is a chat board, we should treat people the same way we would if it was face to face.
Is that too hard?

I agree I will admit myself I am a person who post's like crazy and yea there are topics and whatever it is people wont post on I personally dont think its about me maybe its not a topic they are interested. But if it was about me than i think that is so High school, I try myself to treat every equally and yes everyone is not going to like everyone on here maybe everyone's taste is different and some people click and some people just dont. I am just saying To me I am here to post because I enjoy this site and yes I like everyone but If someone does not like me because of my post than so be it I am who I am and I enjoy being here. and yes i do love myself and can be insecure at times but this only happens to me once a month!! now i will admit one thing I am jealous of some of the friendships on here because i see how close some people are on here and I wish I was apart of that crowd. yes i do Have one friend on here Dawn(lvsdolphins) and I am happy for having a friend like her but i seriously wish people would give me the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you Mel...that was really sweet of you!!
I'm not that well liked... (seriously, I'm not!). And honestly don't want to make it about me, because that defeats the purpose and can get annoying (and I don't want to be annoying! ).
But let's all try to be thankful for what we have. It's ours...and nothing anyone else posts should take away from that!! 
Maybe I should be really thankful for my mom...and I know that I'm glad I grew up poor (and when I say poor, I mean I had to watch my brother climb a tree to get grapefruits because that was dinner!) because it made me appreciate what little I had. And never take things for granted.
But respect can't be bought...and respect for each other...loving each other (OK that may be a stretch ) should be a sort of goal...you know, that whole treat others as you'd like to be treated thing? That's a cool motto!

Ususally, when I feel envy or jealously I find it more productive to remember the choices I made put me where I am. For example, that people who've gotten farther than I at work (lots of people I started with 10 years ago are becoming principals, for example) had to make sacrifices along the way and will be dealing with more stress and aggravation than I do. Then I feel better about what I have.

I really do not consider myself a jealous person at all. Do I experience jealousy? Yes. However, as I get older and more things are put into perspective, I spend my energy being grateful for what I have, rather than envious of what I don't have.
