McDonalds - what you would expect... not 5 star dining...
Boardwalk Concession Stand in Rockaway... again kinda what you would expect... its a concession stand so...
i still eat at both... nothing there is overly gross that i would never eat there again...
don't even tell me you worked at the Sand Bar I think every one of my friends worked there but me

i worked at manor east in massapequa for a few weeks over 10 yrs ago.
managers were not nice to the staff and let's just say when we were making the viennese table, they did not give us gloves and my bare (but clean) hands touched every cookie, etc...
I worked there for 2 weeks over summer break once. Manager's nasty, what they did to the food before it went out upset me so much, i quit....I went to work at Carvel after that, so clean I would eat off the floor. We had to spend an hour each night cleaning, down to every little sprinkle. I got electrocuted sanitizing the shake machine once bc i forgot to unplug it, again, so clean.

I've never worked in a restaurant but I have a friend who works for the Nassau County Department of health so I get all the "dirt," as it were, on restaurants around here. He won't eat at Jani (Chinese/Japanese) on Wantagh Ave. anymore, which breaks his little daughters' hearts - it was their favorite.
My aunt is a Judge for the NYC Dept of Health 
ALL chinese take out places skeeve me bc of what she tells me ....
Many fancy smanchy places in NYC are
We live in Queens and she call me whenever there is a noteable yucky establishment lol

i worked at king umbertos in elmont when i was younger. still eat there all the time, never saw a single thing that skeeved me. and i'm easily skeeved.

Two privately owned places. One that closed down and I'm not surprised. One I'd be incredibly shocked if it hasn't been shut down yet (I don't get to Fire Island often though, so I don't know if it is or isn't open).
Also have worked for Friendly's. I eat there, but never at that particular location  . The one I worked at was NOT pretty.
Lastly, Chateau Briand. Was VERY clean and I'd definitely eat there.

It was a restaurant I worked in where I grew up. I was absolutely disgusted after working there. The stuff that went on with the staff was insane. The kitchen was filthy. I would never eat there.

I worked at Boulder Creek - I will still eat there but never ever ever use the steak sauce that they have on the table!!! ask for A1 instead!
I worked there too, What about the Ketchup cow!! I've never eaten there since before I worked there.
I also worked at a well known Catering hall and would NEVER have my wedding there. The food was great and the chefs were amazing but 75% of the staff including the Maitre d's were big drug attics and they also did a lot of horrible stuff to the food, silverware, cups, liquor, cakes...etc

Two Brother's Pizza in Levittown. Very clean and I have eaten there plenty of times.
Venere in Westbury. Also very clean and food is made to order. There are no hot lamps, food goes from the chefs hand to the waiters hand to the table. Seriously delicious food.

Taco Bell -- I used to sweat into the meat as I was cooking it.
McD's - the one I was at was very clean and I still eat there. I am sure each location is different based on the management.
Coco's and Beefstake Charlies -- both gone now and good riddance!

McDonalds: Years ago. After I left, it took me a while to go back. Not because of how the food was handled or any of that, I was just sick of it. LOL.
I rarely go to that location, but, every night we had to clean clean clean!
We closed the doors at 11PM and sometimes got out at 12:30.

boston market - clean.
taco bell- not as gross as people make it out to be... however I use to stick mostly to the chicken.
burger king - clean, as long as you didn't go near the fryer for the french fries.
Bennigans - I recall the microwave. the very small kitchen.

McDonald's (very clean).
2 Ponderosas (I don't think the chain is still open).
I worked at the Friendly's in New Paltz for about a week but quit since they refused to let me waitress. That place was kinda gross.
Pizzeria in NP too.
I was also a waitress at a hotel restaurant Upstate.
I would still eat there, or at Mickey-D's.

Friendly's - Would still eat there, except the one I worked at which has since closed had AWFUL management.

There's a Bennigan's in Farmingdale?
I used to work at a privately owned non chain that since closed. NOt the cleanest place but I would eat the food since I knew what was fresh and what the rats did not get near.
I also worked at Huntington Pizza Hut (since closed - there's a Chipotle there now) and it really was clean.

oh noooooo... what is wrong with mamas?
I live really close to mamas, everyone around here is obsessed with Mondays at Mamas there is always like a line to get in. I even had a college professor a few years back rave about Mamas lol
