What should happen to the American-born kids? Send them back to their parent's native country too? Put them through the foster system?

We're talking about millions of kids. Do you think the foster system can handle that? You're advocating deporting American children who had no say in their parents' actions to third world countries?

You stated it was different when you emigrated because you were coming from a first world country. I simply asked is there should be a different set of rules for people breaking the immigration laws based upon whether or not they are coming in from a first or third world country.
People have very different reasons for leaving their country. I'm sorry that you can't see that. It has nothing to do with a "different set of rules."
I was able to abide by the laws. I had the money to do that.
A person trying to escape their government (persecution, safety, etc.) has different needs, like surviving. Again it's not black and white. Try to step outside your comfort zone for once.

An 18 year old sponsor their parents after foster care or being taken care of by (possible non-existent) relatives? What world do you live in? Have you any idea how difficult it is to get citizenship these days?
ETA: If you have ever sponsored or been sponsored by someone recently, you would realize how difficult this is. Ellis Island doesn't exist anymore, people.

Exactly!
Foster care should be the last resort for any child. Also the purpose of foster care is to reunite a kid with their parents. It's not suppose to he a dumping ground for unwanted kids.

I think she deserved to be deported. I think it's a grace her children were older. But she was a criminal.
We all freak out when someone commits identity fraud with our private information. What if it was our grand parents identity she stole. My family is as Spanish as you get in the name category. Easy picking. I'd be furious to know my dead were being used to let an illegal immigrant steal from the system my family worked so hard to build, support and defend.
It's a crime.
Much like the mother of four in Fort Worth who's going to serve 8yrs then be deported. Well yeah because you knowingly voted as a green card holder. FOR YEARS! Then when they told you no, you fought them and said yes you can. When they said no again, you just said "Yep I'm American" .. Bubye. What's interesting is she was judged by a jury of 10 women. Still she was sentenced to 8yrs and will be deported (at this point) when she's done.
Your kids? Well, they are innocent but you did this to them too. If I tell my boss to F-off then my daughter suffers. If I have an affair with a married man, my daughter suffers. Is it fair to her? No, its not. But its the reality. The actions of the parents directly affect the children. If I decided to commit a murder and go to jail then guess what? That affects my child. If I decided to move and take a job in Texas and move from New York where her grandparents live, then the kid is coming with me. That's just how it goes.

Im sorry, if you want to come here, come here the RIGHT way. By being here ILLEGALLY, you already broke the law. Now they come here, have 2 or 3 children and then their children are citizens, so they they think they can stay. Some of them use fake SS#'s, dont have a valid driver's license ( or put a fake name on it). They go to their local hospitals, give a fake name, and guess who pays their hospital bills, YEP us tax payers.
If I was to leave this country and go live somewhere else, I would not get a free ride like they are being provided here.
Ours schools are getting bigger, and our taxes are getting higher. I worry about when I go to retire I may not get SS benefits, because our system is so flooded.
So, no...I don't feel bad. So I dont care if you flame me.

Your taxes were always paying for the uninsured, illegal immigrants and American citizens. One of the reasons for Obamacare was it forced everyone to get insurance and it eased the hospitals' burden of caring for the uninsured.
Also, illegal immigrants do not get benefits. They do not qualify for anything. They can't get social security and they can't get food stamps.
The ones that bought a social security numbers contribute to social security, but it will never pay out. They are the ones that are keeping social security afloat. Some estimate that illegal immigrants are paying 15 billion a year into social security.

I personally have no compassion for violent offenders that are here illegally. 75% of the people deported in recent raids were violent offenders and they listed their crimes too - child molestation, lewd acts on a child, rape, drug trafficking.
The rest of course my heart bleeds for them. Especially the children, but why is our country supposed to do let anyone who wants to come here come?

FYI I wouldnt hang my hat on that statistic, its skewed.
It's like me targeting people who only purchase hand cream in the last 6 months and then saying 85% of the people I arrested bought hand cream. However I only looked at small subset of the entire population.
Idk What the solution is but I do know for a fact throwing kids in foster care is not th answer.

Isn't there a distinct and valid reason why so many Central American , Caribbean and Asian Immigrants/refugees were allowed to enter this country illegally, stay, avoid persecution and deportation for so long?
It wasn't an issue. Someone turned a blind eye. Someone benefitted, so no one did anything. Regan administration? Bush? Clinton? Dubya?
