My husband and I are trying not to feed our puppy "people food", just her dog food. We sit down to eat dinner and she doesn't beg at all. Let's see how long this lasts....
We don't feed our dogs from the table (anymore). If they get any people food treats, it is given to them in their dish after we are finished eating.
We don't even do this. We are trying that her taste buds are only for dog food. 
I think that is great! Once they have the taste the become insatiable!

not much, my cat loves turkey cold cuts...he hears the package and comes running. We also give him chicken, steak and green beans....all very little just a little taste for him

For those who said lettuce..be careful with that. My vet said dogs cant digest lettuce at all and it messes up their system. I learned that the hard way from my terrier. He got so sick!!!

Not much. Occasionally I will give my kitty a little bit of tuna if I open a can, but that is about it.

Sim went to the vet today for his shots and the vet said that bones are not good. 99% of the time they are generally ok but that 1% the bone could splinter and cause a great deal of internal damage.
So sorry simbe no more bones for you
