once the holiday/b-day is over I throw them out.

for awhile, but I'm trying to brake that habit.

I almost never get rid of cards. Every once in awhile, I weed through my collection and get rid of ones that are from people who I"m no longer in contact with or ones that I dont care about as much. I have some saved since HS though.

so does my DH, I have to sneak his into the trash.

I have kept all cards from DH though..

There is one from 11th grade, where his is going to have to break up with me, because we are not on the same level(ie..I would not sleep with him) so I have that card and love pulling it out every now and then. He is so funny that he threatened me in a hallmark card

My DH pretty much has them in the garbage five seconds after he finishes reading them! (Kinda annoying with cards not exactly being cheap!).

I usually keep bday cards for about a week after it. Xmas gone when we take down decorations.

I still have all my shower & wedding cards with all other wedding realted stuff I need to go through and figure out what can get tossed.

I still have all my wedding cards in my birdcage and engagement party cards...
but Xmas I usually throw out by Jan 10th (my birthday) to make room for the birthday cards.. then I keep those for a week or two then throw them out.
I kept every single card Ray ever gave me though

I've kept all my wedding and engagement cards, and all the cards DH gives me... but I don't know what to do with all the other stuff. I feel bad throwing them out so they stay around until I no longer feel guilty about throwing them out!! How silly is that!

I've kept all cards from DH, the wedding/shower/engagement and Mom-to-be cards. So I guess I throw out b-day and xmas cards.

birthday i keep only special ones and all of the DH's

depends on who they are from....usually I chuck them.

I do keep all the ones DH has given me and now all the ones my son has made for me.
All others get thrown out once the holiday or event has ended.

I am keeping all my wedding related cards.

As far as bday, I keep everything from DH and my parents and close family.

I used to throw the rest out but with the recent passing of a few family members I feel guilty about that and I have been keeping everything.

I do however throw stuff out from distant friends I dont keep in touch with anymore.

I have kept all the wedding and shower ones. I also have a few from my grandparents who have passed away. I'll always keep those.

I was in a long-distance relationship before meeting DH, and the ex and I sent TONS of cards to each other. I kept them for the longest time but finally I got rid of most of them, holding on to a couple for posterity.

I guess that its a bad habit but I keep cards for a really long time (like years). It drives DH crazy!!

I will keep b-day cards for a week or so.
I will keep my wedding cards FOREVER! I wrote the amount each person gave us on the back, so when they get married we know what to return.

I keep the ones from people close to me forever- I have a huge stash.

Holiday cards I ususally throw away.
