Ugh. Just got our holiday cards from Shutterfly...Update at bottom w/ pic
And I'm not happy with them AT ALL  The quality of the picture is great and I love the card itself, but it's on regular photo paper. Not a strong card stock (if that makes sense) so they're really flimsy, just like a regular photo would be.
I imagined they'd be thicker 
Ugh, so not liking them.

I am so surprised! Anytime I ordered photo cards from them they were on heavy card stock. What gives?

don't worry! i've recieved picture cards from friends/fam with the same thickness (as you've described) and i never pay attn to that. i pay attn to the subject

Really? The only ones that come on cardstock that I've ordered are the folded cards. The 5x7 or 4x8 photo cards are always on photo paper. Honestly, the ones on the cardstock never come out very clear IMO.

I mean, I will most likely send them anyway... I just wish they had a better quality as far as the thickness.
I see that the folded or the "designer" photo cards come in a thicker card stock... But I loves the pattern for ours.
Oh well. I'll know for next year I guess!

i order my cards every year from shutterfly. i get the 4x8 photocard and they are always on regular photopaper. not heavy cardstock. eveyone always loves my cards, honestly i dont think anyone gives the paper weight a second thought. i bet the card came out awesome!!

I love the design too. I wouldn't worry about the card stock it came on.
I do know what you mean - as I went slightly crazy over finding thick card stock for invites. I think with holiday cards, it is what is on them that counts more.
