You can wash it in woolite in the sink, or a delicate cycle in the washer machine.
I wash my boys' balnkets in the wash all the time with a small amount of soap and on the handwashable cycle / delicate cycle and they come out great.

I take it to the laudromat to use a front loading machine and wash it on delicate. I hang it a drying rack to dry.

I've washed several in the washer, as PP said on the delicate cycle. I have a HE washer so it doesn't have an agitator in it, so that made me feel more safe about it!
