depends on the sweater, if it is realy delicate like, i hand wash it with woolite, otherwise, i put it in the delicate cycle.

My washing machine has a "hand wash" setting. So I just put them in on that.

I have this too. I HEART this sweater and it was $$$$$$. If I ruin it I will be upset, but I don't have a ton of time today to hand wash it. Oh well, I guess I will have to hand wash it.

Hmm, if it was that $$ then I would have it dry cleaned-- clothes always come out the best when they are dry cleaned- especially delicates and clothes that are $$. IMO, that is what I would do-- good luck!! Be careful w/ that sweater Chat Icon Chat Icon

On gentle things, I will wash them on gentle cycle in cold water, and hang them dry (or lay them).

I never wash anything by hand.

Re: When a sweater is hand wash only...

It depends on the fabric. If it is a very delicate fabric or very loose knit I will hand wash.

I do have a handwash cycle on my washer though. I use Woolite no matter what.
