Has anyone finished their basement?
I know it varies - but approximately how much would it cost to finish an unfinished basement and add a small kitchen and bathroom down there? Thanks!

We finished ours...added a full bathroom and kitchen. All for under $5000. We did all the work ourselves though which helps cut the costs tremendously.

We did ours - without a full bath or kitchen though. We hired a contractor to do some of the work, but DH did a lot of the work himself as well. With supplies from Home Depot, it cost a total of $8k. Here are the pics:

Thanks - I'm kinda depressed about it because we just put our house for sale today  Onto the next fixer upper!
