Yeah, I was a little curious about that too. What part of the story changed? Nothing has changed on my end I can assure you.
That's why trial or not, I find this story extremely believable. Sure, he can have his day in court, that's his right, but the rest of us can have our opinions. ANd my opinion is your story is a billion percent honest, accurate and never changed...

Oh okay, I see what you're saying. Well, just fyi, the truck drove from West to East in that parking lot, not North and South through the entrance way. I can see why that might be misconstrued. But no, he had plenty of time to accelerate and change original paths to direct his truck into the whole family of geese.
Ok, is that enough? I feel awful having to relive this but I really want to stress and reply so there is no doubt in people's minds that what happened is the truth.

Where they were, YES it could have been an accident if cars were parked in the back, or along the building like they were when I pulled in there. The parking lot is very tight in most places-me I drove slowly thru there.
And in the OP, it said something to the affect of a family of geese was run down and killed by......etc. I dont remember it exactly, and I have been on this thread since it started too
To me, a family of geese getting run down means just that. They were RUN down. And some were killed, as pictures show. Two or ten, geese were killed. And two or ten, injured ones would move on with their pack after mourning the dead geese who can't move on. So no one can ever verify how many were truly HIT by this vehicle.
And even if one comes CLOSE to hitting a goose, I bet you if you weren't doing a high rate of speed, you would not severly destroy a goose to a bloody pulp if you just hit them by accident while driving a a humane speed, in a parking lot....find it hard to believe in a parking lot (not a highway) someone would be going that fast, MISS a family of geese from their sight, and run them over to a bloody pulp unless they were doing this intentionally, or were on drugs, (which the witness was also criticized on for suggesting).
There is not likely any other possibility. It was either intentional, or the person was off their rocker to begin with to be driving at such a high rate of speed in a parking lot so early in the am. ANd then to NOT see a family of geese and not be able to avoid them. Signs are clear to me....2+2 =4. That's why sure, the guy can have his "trial" but I believe the witness a billion percent.

Read what I am saying instead of just getting upset. I said I want fact-I want to know what happened just as bad as the next person-I drove thru the parking lot and SAW the dead birds, I hope he gets what he deserves just as much as the next person.
There was a lady who hit a goose up the block here doing about 30 and YES it was a nasty site to see-i wont go into detail on that but she stopped and tried to move him out of the road. It happens. Again like I said-if intentional he will get what he deserves but I think persecuting him before we know everything that was going on isnt right.

I give those credit who can be so diplomatic as to waiting for the "trial" but a not guilty verdict doesn't always mean not guilty. Trial doens't always make me feel justice has been served. It takes a LOT to prove someone is guilty, "beyond a reasonable doubt". Which if there is only one witness, odds are there will be a reasonable doubt . It would sicken me severely for someone to intentionally commit a crime such as this and be able to "walk" away on a lack of evidence...

The thing is that until this investigation is complete this thread and its contents, I believe, are coming dangerously close to libel. If the statements are, in fact, true then fine no harm no foul. But an entire thread defaming a private citizen is questionable (even though I believe, it was he did was true, it is absolutely deplorable).

I don't think TBrown edited because of emotional scarring. I guess I'll wait to hear the reasoning from him. It just seems odd that he gave us all the details then asked for it to be edited yet continues to give us the details.
And I'm not exactly waiting for a trial of the goose killer I just want to hear his side of the story before I go out of my way to ruin his business.

ITA but at the same time-only time will tell. But here is the thing if found not guilty we can all get in trouble for this thread-hence why I was saying we need FACT not what we *think* to be fact

I was advised to remove certain content. To reiterate, I came on here to clarify posts that were made questioning the authenticity of the story. I included details I probably shouldn't have and edited my content. Now that everything is still ongoing, I have to be wise what I say.
That's the only reason. I can still talk about everything that happened if I choose to but I don't want to at this time until, again, all investigation is completed. It's far from over.

Actually I think the poster is right to edit info. They have a family to protect as well. Look at how many of us actually work in the area and know exactly who James is. I think the case at hand is important to know.

It's a shame what's happened to this post. Just yesterday I felt such a great amount of pride for all of the support we were showing for the geese. I was happy to see that there were so many others like me out there who feel that no innocent species should be subjected to such horrific behavior. It also made me feel good about being an LIFer.
Today I'm just annoyed. This thread has turned into a barrage of accusations against the witness, who is only trying to do what he feels is best.
Thank you to all of the people who are sticking up for tbrown and for the poor geese.

I agree with you. I am glad you stated this as well.
It's reasons like this that people turn the blind eye to crimes.... No one wants to get involved and deal with the repercussions/scrutinization.
That's why it takes a very brave person to stand up for what is right and face possible scrutinization. And I applaud this witness again.

Okay, enough MeNBobs, I've had it. It is fully legal for ANYONE to do whatever it is they want to do on this forum. The ONLY person who would have any trouble legally is myself. I'm in full control of what I'm saying, and what I'm doing. This post will have NO BEARING on the investigation I can assure you. Enough with the analysis and opinion. No one knows anything more than the next person so unless you're involved with the situation (which of course you know that answer) then say whatever you want to say and stop pretending like you know what's best for people who write on this post.
What speaks volumes is what this person did, and this POST has NOTHING to do with the investigation, so enough with this BS.

That is not why I asked for it to be pulled. I completely believe the OP of this thread.
However, embroiling the owners of this website in a lawsuit or having them get a court order to get the IP address of the OP so the azzhole can sue is more than I think they should have to deal with. THAT IS WHY I ASKED FOR IT TO BE PULLED.
