oh my god, if that is true this person is just disgusting. what kind of sick jerk would DO something like that?? i just don't understand what is WRONG with people. i am never in that area to shop there but i hope that the humane society can do something.

I used to work in the suite next door to Breaktime when his grandparents were running Breaktime.
That story is absolutely horrible, I just shared with my friends that still work in the Industrial Park.

I know in Port Washington if you kill any geese it's a $1500 fine - some cab drivers in this area got fined for it.
Not sure if that's dictated on a town or county level.

I have shopped there in the past, but haven't in a few years.
If it's true and gets on the news, he probably just killed his business!

PLEASE someone needs to do something. PLEASE.
Maniacs like this deserve to be punished. I am not from the area nor do I know it, so I am begging someone who goes into that deli, or the person who saw this happen, to please make something happen to this beast. Please!!!!
 
Can you please make a post on the pets board also? And maybe change the title, we need more people to read this.

He knows I saw him, and I contacted the police. I’m pressing charges just so you know.
The person who witnessed it contacted News 12 and the Humane Society (the police wouldn't do anything) so hopefully they can help.
Thank you!
Please get News12, or even 7on your side, or some news station to cover this.
PLEASE, this man should not be working with the public, I can only imagine what happens to the food behind closed doors if he has no regard for actual living creatures!!!!!!!

I have a thought!
There must be some form of security camera that tapes the parking lot. Why can't the police utilize this? Please don't let the police brush this off!
Security tapes are very likely in a big industrial park like that!!!!

I'm actually the person who forwarded this story to the poster, who is my best friend. I work next door to Breaktime and am good friends with the person who witnessed the incident this morning, so if it helps, I can certainly vouch that it is 100% true. I am not in the office (out on maternity leave) so I did not actually see the dead birds first hand.
The Sung incident is this: A few months ago another co-worker of mine was eating a breakfast sandwich from Breaktime and bit into a large bug. The incident was reported to the board of health and the place was written up and is now subject to random inspections.
SO, there are a couple of reasons not to go there. After the so-called "Sung incident" I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, although I only bought pre-packaged food and drinks there. But now I promise you I will never spend a penny there again.
I was heartbroken by the story about the geese when my friend emailed me about it this morning and so was my friend - the poster - when I told her about it. She suggested letting you all know about it and I agreed that it was a great idea.

My company does have security cameras in the back of the building, but unfortunately, they only cover the exit and loading dock areas. The incident happened too far away from the building for the cameras to have picked it up.
