Going on vacation but not to a hotel (crib question)

My parents have recently bought a house in FL and we are planning a trip there soon. I was thinking of renting a crib or using the pack and play as the crib. DS definitely is nowhere near ready for a bed even with rails so I am not sure what to do. DS is 18 months now.

Anyone have advice? TIA

We rented a crib when we went to Florida and stayed at my ILs house. Where in Florida are you going? I can FM you the info.
They have a PnP but DS doesn't sleep well in it. I rented a full size crib and he actually asked to go into it each night! It came with sheets and a bumper.

If it were me, I don't know how comfortable I would be about renting a crib. Myself, I would use the pack n play. Can you get one that you can just leave there for when you visit?

while you are there, could you buy a PNP on clearance (who cares about the design) and leave it there for future vists?

I have one that I am going to be leaving there. I just wonder if he is too big/old to sleep in it. And whether or not it is comfortable enough. Chat Icon

You can buy a thin mattress made esp. for PNPs. I bought one on the rec's of ladies on here. We used it a few months ago...just made me feel better with a little padding in there. It was around $20 I think, in BRU.

Personally, I'd use the PNP.
